Jim Turner fired

I bet you anything he was fired because he straight up lied to Wells on a few occasions. At the same time, when your OL is that bad changes will be made.

I also figured somebody would turn this into a bash/support Philbin thread. Not getting into that, but it is what it is.

As I've said though, John Benton is as good of a get for an OL coach as there is.

You are fooling yourself if you think Incognito, Jerry and Pouncey's behavior was only happening in Miami. It is actually typical of every locker room in the NFL.

If Jon Martin advocated for himself, perhaps we would be spared on this carnage. These people thought they were joking around and in Pouncey's case he is going to lose money and be suspended over PRIVATE text messages.

It is disgusting actually and I will not be convinced otherwise.

For once I actually agree with you.

IMO this pales in comparison to Williams in New Orleans who orchestrated injuring other players.

I have no doubt if Martin had the balls to say enough is enough this would never come to the light of day.

Because a man can't be a man we're all supposed to feel sorry for him. I don't. He knew the "culture" of football. In the end he couldn't handle it.

I also believe, because his personality seems to lean towards it, that he didn't initiate this whole thing either. It surely was his parents.

There is a reason why the NFL isn't littered with Havard grads.

Martin may find that people will say the right things to his face, but if he felt alienated before, he's going to feel it worse now.

Like it or not, unspoken bonds and codes are a fixture in many elements of society/work.

In football, the simplest most basic on is, "be a man". When you can't stand up for yourself, and the importance of mental toughness is emphasized. Where your opponent is encouraged to beat you mentally and physically, there simply isn't a place for the Jonathan Martins of the world.

Peace out Jimbo. Someone get him a Jmart blowup doll. New OC, new OL coach, new GM....I'm excited.

Why are we looking to suspend Philbin?

For keeping the Golf incident a secret.
For Public Relations more than anything to be honest.
And to possibly minimize the effect of Pouncey being suspended longer.

Dolphins got better today

losing O'Neill makes us better? You dont think he will have a job in the next day or 2 if not sooner?

I am SURE this immature behavior happens in EVERY locker room. But the excuse that everyone else does it does not get them off the hook. I am not trying to change your mind, but these are just the facts. And I promise you the NFL will see my side of it and you can expect a new locker room policy handed down by the league supporting my side of this within the coming months.

Where have you guys been?????? I knew Hyden got it an understood.

I DON'T FEEL A OUNCE of sympathy for Martin. Not an single ounce. All he had to do was say ENOUGH!!!!

None of this happens. NOW the one of only a two places where players get to be themselves is damaged due to John Fricking Martin!!!!!

Hydens point exactly. Due to Weak Azz Martin NFL players will now have their homes as the ONLY PLACE they can relax, not worry about what they say, Not worry about what they do, be themselves. By all means, I BET YOU MY HOUSE when your with your friends you say and do things that if a NFL player does would make the media correct?

How do you fire someone on a plane to somewhere he doesn't have to be? Wtf is that? Couldn't just can him before the flight took off? For the trainer I mean.

So he is for sure out. I hope so. He sucked. Time to start that quest back to the top. Turner was clearly not part of that.
