Losing those picks didn't hurt??? :roflmao:
They didnt'. With Ricky we had winning seasons. We would have made the playoffs if the defense doesn't blow a huge lead week 17 vs the Pats. And a 10 win season puts Miami in the playoffs almost any other year.

We traded those picks............and still won games and were a playoff caliber team.

Those picks didn't hurt. These upcoming picks are the knife being twisted.

We won 11 games WITHOUT Ricky, so getting Ricky did nothing but rack up yards. No wins, no playoffs, no respect, etc. However, the picks for AJ and Lamar hurt us? How? We would have just used the same picks next year to get a QB and a RB.

But maybe a QB and RB that are better than those 2 :shakeno:

Maybe guys who aren't career back-ups!:shakeno:

We won 11 when the AFC was down as a whole. Let's be honest. When we won 11 the AFC stunk. KC stunk. Tenn stunk. NE stunk. We won when the AFC was good, but not great like it is now. We won 11 when the majority of power teams were in the NFC. Now all of the top teams are in the AFC. Indy, NE, Denver, NY (when they have Chad), Tenn........so look at the big picture.

Show me what those 3 picks are doing for us right now and then tell me how it doesn't hurt that we lost them? I'm a little confused by your logic.

Your judgement of Feeley and Gordon after one game is about as smart as saying losing those three picks didn't hurt us.

Who knew Ricky was going to retire? That is like blaming Speilman for not drafting a RB in April! That is where your logic is confusing! No, we didn't have those 2 first round picks. We THOUGHT we had one of the best RB's in the NFL!

If Ricky doesn't RETIRE, not having those picks don't hurt us!

re

And I get tired of hearing how little talent we have and how we've hit rock bottom, etc., etc. The only thing holding this team back right now is the freaking OL. Maybe it will come together this season and improve enough to make a playoff run or maybe it won't come together until next season with a couple of more players thrown into the mix but whenever it does happen is when this team will be contenders again.

I just get sick of hearing how we have no talent, we need to start from scratch and rebuild, we're at rock bottom, etc. That's all complete BS. Fix the OL and you fix this team!!

Jimmy Johnson is a loser. No other way to slice it....

He's one of the main reasons why we're going through alot this garbage right now too. His days as HC in Miami were spent working on building his defense, while completely ignoring the offense. He did absolutely nothing for us offensively during his four years here....

He made horrible personel decisions too. All the way from top to bottom. The OC's under Jimmy were a joke. The list of loser RB's he drafted is long and ugly, and the list of loser WR's he took chances on is laughable....

Remember when Jimmy had all of those RB's in camp a few years back??? We were desperate for a running game that year, and the one guy he decides to let go {RB T. Wheatley}, ends up having a huge season in Oakland. Instead of holding onto Wheatley, who he never even gave a real chance, he ends up keeping guys like Jabbar / Johnson / and Collins. Great call Jimmy!!! :confused2

How about that RB J. Avery pick!!! Boy he sure turned out to be great didn't he???....He's tearing up the league!!! NFL Europe that is... :smackhead

Oh, and remember that great draft we had where he passed on WR R. Moss???.... Or how about when he traded away WR I. Fryar to Philly for dinosaur WR F. Barnett???... :foundout:

As far as I'm concerned, Dave has done twice the job of ballancing out this roster than Jimmy EVER did. Jimmy is a cry baby, and a loser. He's also one of the most overrated HC's in NFL history IMO. He needs to move on with his life and stay out of the Phinz business. He's no longer involved with anything within the Miami Dolphins organization, so he should just keep quiet....

PHINZ RULE!!! :whip2:

No? What do imagine Ricky would be doing behind this line?

He is so wrong its not even funny. No, the mistake was giving up a 3rd for Gordon and a 2nd for Feeley. THOSE Picks will hurt us more. We won 10 games with Ricky last year. 10 wins in a season is good and is a playoff team 9 times out of 10. Losing those picks didn't hurt us.

Losing these upcoming picks is going to kill us because NOW we are a bad team and need more talent.
The picks for RW did not hurt especially since Miami had to have a RB and everyone including fans thought a RB would do it. Which I think it would have, if Miami was being ran by another coach. DW just fell in love with RW and only wanted to run him making Miami easier to defend.

Miami's mistake came when not giving up the No. 3 in 2002, which is what NO ask for. Since Miami had given their No. 2 pick away the previous year and they had to have a pick on the 1st day of the '02 draft. It ended up costing them the No. 1 for '03. Basically they spent a No. 1 on Seth McKinney (The player drafted with that No. 3 pick in '02)

Also most people do not realize this, but Randy McMichaels is also a part of this deal. Miami just did not give up a No. 4 to NO. They switched No. 4 and that allowed Miami get grab RM, since NO had the higher pick.

Never liked the price for AJ. Especially considering he had only started 8 college games. I think AJ is going to be good, given a OL that can block. Anyone bashing his play is not watching the games.

At the time of the trade AJ was not worth a No. 2. I know Philly is waiting a year and that whole a No. 2 is equal to a No. 3 when its a year later crap. A No. 2 is still a No. 2. The No. 3 for Gordon is actually ok trade. However he will also look like crap given his first steps have been to dodge a defensive player.

Same as last year. 1300 yards and a running game that could open up a passing game.

He was unable to produce on offense for Marino's last years.

JJ did not ignore the O. He simply failed with his attempts to better it.

Very true.

He feel in love with Collins. He thought Collins would straighten himself out.

JJ never passed on Moss. He made a bad trade prior to the draft and was not in position to draft him. Moss feel past Miami original draft position.

Never traded Fryar. He was allowed to leave as a FA. Really at the time was not a bad move since Fryar was almost terrible in '95.

That was JJ biggest mistake. He should have gotten rid of Marino the year he arrived.
