Translation: "As far as Matt's go, with you I have higher hopes that success will be with the "devil I don't know rather than the one I did!"
Agreed. Philbin realizes Moore is nothing more than a backup QB. One who isn't exactly a great fit in the WCO either. Granted Garrard isn't really worth a damn either, he's a veteran, and when healthy is better than Moore. Gives the team a better chance to win. Not exactly a good thing since winning isn't going to be something we'll be seeing much of this year regardless.
You have no idea if Moore can get a lot better or not. There is no reason to think he won't improve this year. Even if he only improves a little bit he will have a 90+ QB rating because he almost did last year. Is it so hard to give the guy a chance....sheesh
I hope someone beats the both of them out ,so that they go back to their rightful place....the backup. I can see it now , Moore or Garrard trying to beat Brady in a shootout...man,it's gonna be ugly.
He's mediocre and will **** the bed as a full time starter. Again.
Stating your opinions like they are facts is never a good idea. You are clearly a " glass is half empty " poster. Wouldn't hurt to take a gander at the positive side would it? Or at least acknowledge that there could be a positive side.
I give Garrard a good chance of beating out Moore as well - esp. in a WCO
Moore couldn't beat out Henne in a system he was familiar with
Garrard has a chance to be charismatic leader and get something going on offense. I have always liked the guy and I think David wins the position.
The guy has excellent footwork. Locking onto a WR and forcing throws is what I'd be concerned about with Tannehill. If we drafted him at #8, you really think he would be the #3 Qb on our roster behind Moore and Garrard?
Matt Moore, or any other Qb thrown into the wolves last season, could´nt have done a better job...Let´s see what he looks like with a full tc, and pre-season to work with, could be a pleasant surprise...but it seems that after 0-7, some expected us to go undefeated. Guess what, Moore did a helluva job last season....much much more than what I expected!

go read up a little bit on Matt Moore's 2010 season with the Carolina Panthers...
the story line sounds eerily familiar.
takes over mid season.. leads team to a bunch of wins down the stretch. declared starter in training camp going into 2010 season.. Carolina has one of worst seasons of all time.
seen it before, get ready to see it again. Moore isn't the answer. sorry boys
