"Former Lions quarterback Joey Harrington told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he has regained his confidence as a quarterback after a rough start in the NFL.
He landed a two-year, $6 million, free-agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons. His new coach, Bobby Petrino, runs an offense to his liking; and he is enamored with his new home."

I find this funny because Joey finally likes an offense he is a part of. Albeit the offense he is a part of is a power running style offense which takes MUCH pressure off the QB.

Does his statement prove he isn't a leader and cannot nor is willing to put a team on his shoulders to play the position of QB?

Maybe he should have played kicker or punter instead of QB...

I don't know about that. It could just mean that he is in an offense that plays to his strengths as a QB, similar to the one he played in at Oregon. It could also mean that he's trying to justify Petrino signing him.

Same thing he said last season.... until reality set in for him.

My exact thoughts.
He said the same things about running our offense and how he felt rejuvenated.

Good luck to him.
He seems like he's a good guy and he obviously has QB talent...... although it seems there's just not enough to ever make an impact at the NFL level.

OK, he says he regained his confidence (I think he went 6-6 last year for us) he says he is in an offense that he likes (good for him) and he is enamored with his new home (he likes where he is going to live). So what is so negative about any of that? He did not choose to leave, he was cut. Do you want him back? I dont so let him move on with his future and good luck to him.

anyone besides me read the article? he never says what the title says

Yea, I was thinking the same thing, that and that he probably like it there because he will never have to play as long as Vick doesn't get hurt or go to jail of course. He can just sit back, collect a check, and not have any pressure on him.
