Porter was IR a bit last year which I am sure caused some issues but I expect his mouth and ego to bump into Parcells and he will be out of here!

From the Las Vegas incident he seems to have alot of punk in him. Too bad Levi did not get him one on one I'm sure he would have learned a little humility.

I see a lot of disputes over Joey Porter and his play last year.
I just wanted to get a feel for what others felt.

I personally feel that Porter was the best player on defense last year. Followed by both the Allens.

I know G force is right in line with me.

What do others have to say?

I feel pretty good about our front seven on defense with the additions of Ferguson and Torbor who has potential. With Joey and JT on the outside, I think we're pretty solid to stop the run and put some pressure on the passer. Secondary needs work, at least one more quality starting corner, but Joey Porter is a good football player and i am optimistic that he'll have a decent season this year and will likely be put in more positions to succeed than he was last year.

he gives 110% and thats what we need.. and i bet you when people come to play us he a factor in their gameplan.

He started to play real well around the pitsburg game after that he was good

I selected the 2nd option.
I was much more impressed with his play later in the saeason. i expect that is what we will get all of next year.
He was a beast in pittsburgh, hopefully that comes back here.

The main thing that has to be remembered is Porter and Taylor play the same side, which is why Porter was moved. Porter IMO, prob. never should have been brought in in the first place. He is an excellent rushing LB, he played his whole career on the same side until he came to Miami. That right there should tell people why he is playing sub par. But to his credit, he did start to adjust towards the end.

he wasn't used correctly, when we were in the 4-3, Porter had no clue what to do, he cannot play in the 4-3, he is a 3-4 Pass Rushing specialiast, in the 4-3 he is worthless.

Why is it so hard to understand that was JOEY's RETALIATION for something else that had already happened?

For him to do that, he must have been the victim of a cheap shot or who knows what, it was a REACTION...

I think Porter is EXACTLY the kind of player that Parcells likes. He's a big tough linebacker who practices hard and lives and breathes FOOTBALL.
