In a nutshell: the bankruptcy laws might say one thing, but the NFL will have its say in this matter. There's no way they sit idly by and let a legal loophole destroy their league.

The NFL/NFLPA if they have not already addressed this issue prior to RW, then that is the only way the NFL can do anything.

I'm sure if it has not already been address then it will be in the next CBA. You are right, the NFL will not take the chance that other players will take this route to get out of a deal.
