John Clayton on Garrard at 8:10

Certainly not a long term solution and not a guy that will bring you deep into the playoffs. Therefore no point in bringing him in at this stage of the game. If he came in now the best he would do is start after the bye. That would mean Henne blew and we are 1-3 or 0-4 and the season likely shot anyway.

Live and die with Henne at his point.

miami is stupid if they dont sign garrard

henne is awful and will land the dolphins a 3-4 win season with garrard they have a shot at 6 wins and maybe 7 if everything clicks

OWWW a jets fan with a crystal ball! Cool cool, so in how many more decades does rex get fired for not appearing in no superbowl and when eventually will sancheese come out the closet? :d-day:

Nah Garrard is worse than Henne.. Henne has the chemistry with our go to receivers anyway. I hate the fact that ganggreen617 can sit here and say that, then when the opposite happens he's no where to be found.

These guys are going with Henne. Palmer might be the exception, but I don't see us signing anyone else.

Clayton said that three teams have checked in...Baltimore, Miami and SF.

He said more teams will take a look at him and he'd get a job very soon.

Clayton finished by saying he Garrard had a choice...be a backup in Baltimore, compete for starting job in Miami or start in SF.

Maybe 4 weeks ago, but it is too late in the year to go after a QB. Henne or bust.

He is not competing in Miami....are people in espn this clueless. Henne is starting, and unless an elite QB falls into our laps, HENNE will be starting.

Would make a good backup though.

To topic, Garrard is big name so to say, very efficient QB. However it means something when a player gets cut surprisingly like this considering he has put up consistent numbers the past few seasons. The Jags F.O. knows something we know.. Wasn't he injured during this preseason? I am sorry but I believe there is an underlying injury that is limiting his ability at something that we don't know about. Even at that, lets stick to Henne, this is do or die, season, has been working with system all off-season and has played exceptionally well. To bring in Garrard would be suicidal, because even as back-up to Henne it will definitely make him uncomftarble, feeling fake pressure to play better, when he right now is relaxed and confident, which is what you want. Don't wanna play with his mind, let's play it out with him and Moore. I feel good going into the season with what I've seen from chad, I know most of y'll as well. While some of us can be a bit skeptic within our right, hopefully he proves us wrong, though were rooting for him and the team! Go Dolphins 2011!!!:hclap::hi5:

Fixed, couldn't edit...

Garrard ****ing blows.

I want no part of him on the team. It would really serve no purpose. I mean, sure he is probably better than Henne, even past his prime, but he still blows.

Seems like a lot of people are scared bringing in Garrard
will rattle hennes confidence.. That's a bunch of "huff puff" if i ever heard one.
Garrard is the least of hennes issues. I think Garrard would make an excellent number 2 if healthy
Garrard put up way better #s then henne last season with a 2 to 1 interception ratio.
Would provide veteran starter savvy leadership at the QB position.
Could make the argument for second best qb since Marino playing for the dolphins.

Henne gets hurt then what Moore? what if Moore gets hurt or gets turnover-itis?
You just wanna give up the season at that point? suck a duck for luck?
Garrard would be good insurance..

garrard is a cancer to the fins keep him away! i dont even want him as a backup id rather see us grab some random guy out of the stadium then play that guy

so your telling me that we are a 3-4 win team with henne ? ok so we are beating the jests 2 times this year and who else are we beating ganggreen ? huh ? bills and maybe pats once ? come on . ill teall ya this much our Defence is just as good as the jests and whatever happens to Henne . he is a better QB THAN SANCHEZ so you guys must be lookin at a 2-3 win season huh ? ill tell you this much Henne is going to surprise alot of teams and alot of people this year. just wait and see

can u defend your statement with some facts please?

I would say a Garrard signing would be for #2 competition.

Can our O-Line keep Henne healthy 16 games?

He's not all that good ... but he sure is an Expensive #2, isn't he $8.5M this year?? ! From what I've seen ... the FO seems too cheap to spend that.

Wish we would have spent that Cap on the O-Line!

see that's 1 fact i didn't know which means if the dolphins were to bring him in
it would be after the 1st week so he would get a low contract offer..

The offensive line is going to give up some more sacks
simply because the Qbs will be trying to make more plays
passing the ball down-field and not pounding the rock as much..
