Madden use to fly while he was the Raiders coach. He had a panic attack towards the end of his career whioe on a plane and basically has never flown on a plane since then....so ABC decided to keep Fat John happy and said they would provide him with the Madden Cruiser, a 1 million dollar bus, besides the 7 million a year he gets to say boom bam every five seconds....John is the most overated announcer in sports in my opinion. He is in love with Bret Favre and Brady.
