I signed up for VIP the first time last month, waited too long. It's a great deal, and you really help the site keep going by doing it. The VIP section of the forum would be much better with more activity...$5 for 3 months, come on people.

We should see how much it would cost to rent a convention room in Las Vegas, split the cost however many ways and set up a huge projector screen to watch a dolphins game. worse case, they lose, and we all go out, get piss drunk and watch some strippers. full bar and finger foods will be available. :D

Finheaven could generate a ton more money by adding a simple amazon affiliate link to this site. There are so many dedicated users to this site, if you just gently nudged them to make their amazon purchases through a Finheaven affiliate link you'd probably be raking in a pretty penny over time, and it wouldn't cost the users anything.
The problem with the regular ads is that most people don't see them due to ad blockers or because they use mostly Tap-a-Talk (where ads aren't displayed). And the ads that people do see usually aren't relevant. An Amazon affiliate ad would generate a lot more income. You could even set up a virtual shop that sells Dolphins merch that you would get a cut of all the sales.
I bet if you put up a thread in the main forum before the season with links to the best HDTVs to buy for the football season from Amazon you could probably make some decent dough.
