Jon Martin - "I will kill your entire family"

Wow... JJ telling the audience that the REAL reason Martin left is the pressure, and then kinda used this whole thing as an excuse?! Did anyone else understand that the way I did?

Martin is a smart guy & probably a perfectionist. All the pressure coming from the team, coaches, himself, going back to ORT was too much to bear. But, he could not suck it up, last the season, & retire gracefully.

If it wasn't true he wouldn't have let that part of the interview air....hurts his cred....

ur probably right. jonathan martin will have to do some serious spinning if he wants to justify his participation in the kind of trash talk he is trying to use as evidence of incognitos bullying and harassment. if this is tru it would seem martin didnt really rthink this through. if this really was a situation where he saved all these texts for future use.....why would he participate? i'm thinking this whole plan of his was alot more spontaneous than alot of people thought. probably all started because he got some epic butt hurt when they pranked him in the lunch room

I fail to see why anyone should lose their job over this.

It's all going to come down to what the Fins new and did. If they told Cog to help toughen up martin who (BLEEPING) cares? He needed to be toughened up. If they knew Martin was about to have a mental breakdown and ignored it then yeah they should be held accountable. But to somehow hold them to a higher standard than any other coaching staff or GM was held to before them is ludicrous.

Unfortunately, cogs is prob screwed because he used the n word.

I understand why all these older black guys are upset.

But they should be happy, the reason rappers and the likes use the n word so often is to take power away from the term, and if we're at a point where a white guy can use it in a locker room full of black guys without issue then I think they've achieved that.

I think a word is only as strong as u let it be

ESPN..... havent watched their pregame show in years. Great hire of Ray Lewis..... :bobdole:

NFLN.... Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin are blatant racists. I get sick of those two acting morally superior as well. They have been doing it for years. Get real. Rich Eisen is a joke almost as much as Berman. The only guys I respect on there are Marshall Faulk and Kurt Warner. Upstanding gentlemen. I did not catch their take on any of this though.

Doesn't espn have a certain Duane Charles?

Eisen unlike Berman has a sense of humor. Deion & Irvin are assclowns. I meant played for Dallas. Is there a difference?

Nicole Zaloumis is the only reason to watch NFLN.

Martin is immature and his parents have likely been pulling all the strings behind the scenes. This story needs to shift to the parents. They will be in the spot light soon after all the facts get pieced together. The NFL has lawyers too and a lot more money than they do. They are going to get a boot up their greedy a$$es.They are idiots.

Ha ha...ok, but the public are watching all the other channels, too. Do I call each person individually and convince them we have leadership and good management in Miami?
No, what you do is stop watching them because they no longer have credence in your eyes. That is the only thing that will make them change how they report. I've done that with Mando this year. It seems I'm not the only one, too. It's all about the almighty $.

What is even more convincing to me is in the interview with glazer cogs says he would just want to start all over.

cogs is not coming back.

Martin is not coming back IMO.

Ireland's azz is in serious trouble with Ross IMO.

Philbin deserves second chance. Ben Rothlisberger did much worse and the coach not held resposible. League swept it under rug by a settlement. sound familiar? Coach said the incident was dealt with immediately. What does anyone suppose that is?

Meanwhile, ESPN is praying right now that none of this is true and keep hitting the incog button.

I actually think they both can come back. I think that's the best for the franchise. If neither come back we'll look more dysfunctional and incapable of handling things than we'd look if they were to come back.

Just saw germ Edwards' reaction...

WHAT A JOKE!

He blamed Philbin for fostering an environment where this language was acceptable lol

I'm convinced ESPN is determined to smear cogs and miami no matter what

Jon Martin is not coming back. **** him.

Pretty sure you're the only person on the planet that thinks that, but hey to each their own. They're not coming back, so its not even worth discussing.

Agreed. I used to watch ESPN all the time. I used to have it on my TV in the background even though Sportscenter was on repeat. I used to make it a point to watch PTI and Around the Horn. But now I couldn't care less for opinions from pretty much anyone on the channel. They're a joke.

Martin is not mentally ill, he is playing mentally ill. He went for mental heath treatment for what 5 minutes?
This whole incident was planned out with his parents. The "mentally ill" part is BS. It is the escape door if it all (the scheme/lawsuit) falls through.

Mentally ill no. Mentally weak yes.
