Jon Sciambi New Radio Voice?

Boog is a great announcer...He did an awesome job for the Marlins...I really miss him on the radio especially with the Roxy Bernstein dude thats on there now...I think he'll do a fine job for the fins...I've been listening to him for well over ten years now on the radio.
 
Boog was the Marlins radio announcer, and I was very sad to see him go. He's a very knowledgable guy and very easy to listen to. He also does a great job of dictating the game. I hope his skills transcribe to football, though.
 
If Boog can call football the same WAY he calls baseball, we are getting an upgrade over Howard David. Never really got used to Howard so I was not sad to see him go. Mandich not back as the color guy hurts. I pray to god its not Cefalo. Joe Rose would be good. I could live with that. Mandich not coming back was by his own doing. He chose to stay at WQAM and he's at peace with it.

With all due respect, 790 could not have Mandich doing a show on 560 and calling Fins games on 790. Mandich was good, sometimes stupid, but a good color guy. He will be replaced and everything will be fine. Losing him is NOT the worst thing to ever happen to the Fins, last year was.

I don't know man. I loved Mandich. But if I had the chance to have the Vikings pbp and color guys, I'd say "See ya, Jim".

I can't remember if I've heard Sciambi. He'd be replacing Howard anyway. Whoever becomes the color guy is who should be compared to Mandich IMO.
 
Listening to his show now, I think he's definitely got the voice. When he was debating with a caller, you could get a small sense of what he'd sound like calling a game.

I'd like to see him get the job.
