I agree 100%, anytime you hire a lawyer it says something, I mean who needs a stinking lawyer? I thought the "Fairness Doctrine" was eliminated in 1987? Damn Lawyers. Maybe Jackie Chiles was busy.

It is interesting that all his teammates are standing behind him, that couldn't possibly mean there is a cultural problem in the NFL?

Wow. I'm speechless. Except to say, what a dick.

If there is one good thing that comes from this, please let it be the final nail in Irelands coffin. If he was a good GM, I'd say keep him and fight for him. But he blows, and he drafted the guy who cost him in the second round. And honestly, I can only hear so many messed up stories of the crapola he does. Its time to lance him out. If Philbin can get the team to circle the wagons and play out the year at a reasonably high level, keep him. If not, just start all over from the top down, the way it should've happened two years ago.

Actually, if Incognito is innocent, was mentoring Martin, and was friends with Martin, he needs to go on the offensive and sue for defamation of character.

In my opinion, as of right now his silence is deafening. Maybe he's waiting on Martin's lawyer to move first

I don't think Richie is wired that way.

This whole situation is likely to drag out and be pretty awful, but my guess is Richie wants to meet and hash things out man to man, not bring in more lawyers.

This is just like star wars, Richie could be like Obi Wan and Martin would be Darth Vader, of course this thing would fall apart if Obi Wan started using racial epitaphs and threatened to go #2 in his mouth.

THe best thing to come out of this will hopefully be that Ireland and Philbin willbe gone.
 
You don't hire David Cornwell if you think the NFLPA is going to take your side in this situation.
