Scuttlebutt is that he wants a new deal. He wants to stay in Miami.

We found a TE who put up franchise records for us, seems like a good person that wants to remain a Dolphin, and who genuinely seems to believe in and publicly support our franchise QB… so naturally, we’re looking to deal him.

So basically they were never planning on resigning him after this upcoming season no matter how well he does this year. So now that he wants a contract extension they want to trade him.

This is one where I don't think you trade Jonnu. I'm not giving him a big contract in the offseason, but 1 year of Jonnu feels like it would be worth more than a late rounder we would fetch.
