Jonnu Smith Trade?

This is one where I don't think you trade Jonnu. I'm not giving him a big contract in the offseason, but 1 year of Jonnu feels like it would be worth more than a late rounder we would fetch.

By a large margin. We're not totally hopeless yet, are we? Let's at least look like **** and lose some games before we start shipping out cheap, productive talent for late round picks.

They are 95% hopeless with Grier at the helm but trading the only serious player from last year's team would be the clearest sign

Jonnu IS the towel and they are considering throwing it

Not what I expected to read today.

1) No harm in Jonnu asking since he is in a terminal contract year. Not being a star, he does not have much leverage though.
2) No harm in Miami see what they could get but I doubt it would be much.

Most likely they give him a modest 1 or 2 year extension. I'd be ok with that. He played well last year when called upon.

Another knee jerk reaction from fans. Who cares if he broke a record, thats less to do with him as a player and more to do with how pathetic we were at moving the ball last year. What about feeding Waddle, Malik, Westbrook, etc... Why would we pay a guy more who in all likelihood is going to see half the targets he got last year. Maybe they see something like they like in the TE room and want to develop those guys... Settle down
