Jonnu Smith Trade?

That's some "elite" level rationalization BS you have going on there, brother.

Your recent posts are all over the place with contradictory statements, backtracking, piece meal arguments that don't align cohesively, etc.

You may be better off just saying you don't like Ross, Grier, McD or Tua and leave it at that, rather than attempting to expound on the specifics of why.
First, to concede to your point, I admit that I sometimes make a post and then when confronted, realize that maybe I overlooked or was ignorant about something and have to re-explain myself. However, in my defense, there are times when the poster attacking my opinion is doing so only because they disagree with me, and it's tough trying to be rational and civilized when faced with someone who won't consider the fact that there's nothing wrong with having an opposing opinion, as everyone sees similar things from different perspectives.

And, yes, it would be so much simpler to just say that I don't like Ross, Grier, McDaniel, and Tua, and leave it at that. But, there are those here who resort to juvenile name-calling and personal attacks to anyone who disagrees with them. With most of these people I just ignore them, but with some, they appear to be more "civilized" and so I feel obligated to try to explain my position, which at times might not come out as clear and rational as I'd like it to be.

..and it's tough trying to be rational and civilized when faced with someone who won't..
It's actually not. I think you should consider that you don't need to correct them no matter how dumb what they say is and then you can write out what you want to say, read it over and then try to fact check it yourself. You'd be amazed how many flaws you may find in your own arguments.

You're right. I was getting too carried away trying to explain my points of view, and it hasn't always worked out as well as I thought it would.

I wasn’t getting personal. I repeated to him what he wrote to me. I use PFF. He used PFF. Except he claimed that PFF was only used by people with “two brain cells”.
I don't want or need an explanation. I was being nice, move along and we the staff won't have to be assholes.

I understand what happened and was simply saying let it go.

Good point, because yeah, I guess that Tua would do better behind a good o-line. That said, there are two things that a better line can't help. First, Tua has already admitted that he sometimes has problems seeing WRs downfield over the linemen, so a bigger, stronger o-line might possibly make it harder for him to see. And, while a better line would give him more time, no line can hold off defenders forever, so eventually Tua is going to have to go mobile, but his ability to scramble, break tackles, and make an off-script play is far from elite.

IOW, it's my opinion that Tua needs to get the ball out quickly even with a better o-line because after those first few seconds, players moving around could block his viewing lanes and make it harder for him to find the open receiver. And, the longer he holds the ball, the higher the odds that he'll be pressured and have to move (and get tackled) or be sacked, and as we all have seen, he has become easily concussed, even with normal contact.

lol it’s as simple as no qb gets worse with more time. It’s every defenses kryptonite to not be able to get to the qb. Secondaries, even elite ones can only cover for 3 seconds or so of pocket time.

Dude literally has the ncaa all time passing rating due to behind a brick wall and having all day. Yes the nfl is a lot faster but it’s still the same in terms of if a qb has all day and doesn’t get pressured, they typically tear the opposing defenses apart.

Nothing in the way the team has approached this offseason suggests McDaniel is on the hot seat.

I would bet that he’s still the HC in 2026 while Grier is still employed albeit in a different role
Disagree.

True, but another point is that we don't truly know if Tua knows how to read NFL defenses, as that is not part of what McD allows or asks him to do. Most of the time, he just drops back fires at option 1 and that's it. Thus, if the line was better, would McD ask him to do more? I would like to think so, but who knows...

Disagree.

So let me get this straight, you think McDaniel is so smart that he’s simply calling plays that not only have the #1 option open at an unprecedented rate but Tua is completing it at a 70% rate just by blindly following McDaniel or guessing the defense? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of…

I swear y’all make the dumbest **** I’ve ever heard of completely up with 0 actual rational.

I guess you just don't understand anything about McD, Tua or the Dolphins scheme. That's okay, you do you!

As I said earlier, I've done a poor job of explaining things. I should have just kept it simple and said that I'd prefer a QB who is taller, more athletic, and not as fragile instead of coming up with lame excuses and reasons as to why I don't think Tua is the guy.

Also, I never watch college football, so Tua's college stats mean nothing to me. And, without knowing anything about Tua and Herbert, I would have drafted the taller, healthy QB rather than the shorter QB with a major injury... but that's just me. It's stuff like that which keeps me from posting in any draft threads, because I know NOTHING!

Not following your post? Is your point that Tua is better than the garbage, talent-less backups that the Fins have had since he's been here? If so, then I think everyone on this site would agree with that.
