Jordan to olb?

I have a big question about the linebackers. Is it more lack of talent or lack of coaching? Look at Karlos Dansby, a good player in Miami but also somewhat disappointing. He signs elsewhere and is a superstar, a top 100 player in the league.

Ellerbe and Wheeler play well in Baltimore and Oakland respectively. When they come to Miami they are terrible. Is it the scheme?
 
Off the Steroids, I dont think he'll have any problem dropping the weight. I dont think he's someone that can normally carry 260 plus without help.

Ellerbee and Wheeler have been in the league awhile and they have played below average most of that time even before Miami
 
Jordan played like a guy that doesn't want to get hurt in an exhibition game. McCan played like a guy that wants not to get cut. Jordan will be fine once the season gets here. Im all for him playing LB. Just because he is 260 doesnt mean he cant play OLB. He is still fast and quick, now he is just harder to keep blocked.
 
Maybe the solution is using a Bear 46 front... Odrick, Mitchell, Starks as the DT's.

Jordan, Wake, & Vernon would rotate in the 2 seek & destroy positions.

Upside: only 2 LB's on the field.

I said when we got Wheeler last year that I was not impressed with what he did in Oakland...So, I can't say that Wheeler was ever good.

Ellerbe was filling in for a legend on a VERY good defense. I believe people were looking at him with the idea that if he was the replacement for Ray, he had to be good...and it skewed there perspective.
 
Have to do something. Wheeler is not working out. I don't see the core group that strong. Jordan, McCain, Tripp over wheeler.
I wonder if they will run McC,Misi,Tripp this pre season and see how it works. I wouldn't be surprised if wheeler is out.
Most likely he won't due to contract. I just see 3 guys that could be rotating at LB with Misi and making it a strength for us not a weakness.

The Ravens also run a 3-4 which Ellerbee was developed to play in that system. Of course the Irish decides via checkbook that Ellerbee is the prefect 4-3 backer despite never playing a snap at the NFL in a 4-3.

jordan never was and never will be a d-end. he has no instincts or pass rush moves at all. its funny how people get blasted on here for stating the obvious about this guy but if he played for ne or the jets everyone on here would be thanking god we didnt draft this kid. im still waiting to see him do anything even remotely decent, he pretty much is invisible no matter where he lines up.

Regardless of what he is doing he needs to show more he even gets beat in practices ! I don't totally buy that he is playing not to get hurt! Because a move like that could also get him hurt! And pre season is his time to shine somewhat so he can earn himself playing time when he gets back for 5th game! Personally maybe the best thing might be changing to LB!
