Jordan Tripp update?

Did you watch the game? I thought he had some good plays when he pressured the QB and some poor ones when he looked unworthy of being a top drafted prospect. The decision to put on so much weight is looking increasingly questionable because there were plays when he didn't look fast enough or strong enough. However, there were others when Coyle was dialing up multiple blitzes, when he was successfully pressuring the lowly ranked backup QB. I'm interested in the impression of others. Is Dion salvagable? Undrafted Chris McCain appears to show the terrific speed and burst at OLB that we were hoping from Dion.

I did as well. It is apparent to me that they are re-inforcing playing the run with him and he drops back into coverage occasionally. Yeah, no sacks or anything but I do think his enthusiasm lacks. Not showing fire, but I do think he is getting better vs. the run and his range is unbeatable.

My comment about Jordan relates about his lack of production. With a #3 pick, you are selecting a cant miss player in theory. The fact that we reached for him makes it even more puzzling a pick.
Sure, the guy shows flashes of speed and potential. He could have been had much later. Like FinFan said, he doesn't show much fire. Maybe the defensive system is over loading his brain and he is thinking instead of playing. Who knows. We had a possible trade partner in Philly before the draft, and now it looks like we will get little or nothing for him when the time comes.
I just do not see him being any kind of star. He will not accept less money when his contract is up. Another unceremonious ending to another Ireland top pick.

Regarding Tripp, it is a shame he got hurt, hope it is nothing serious. Tripp, McCain and possible Jenkins are looking like the future once they get stronger and more seasoned.

Crowning Brady...what a great GIF idea...LMAO...McCain ...Helmet and all...LOL

Hmmm,I thought crowning was when the turd breaks through the anus...

Or

When a newborn heads pops through the bag, not the little big mans head.

Great a thread about Tripp gets turned into yet another Dion Jordan thread.

Sorry about that. I'll try and stay more focused in the future. :-)

Dolphins rookie linebacker Jordan Tripp likely out 1-to-2 weeks with chest injury

I was at the game and saw that Jordan Tripp got hurt. Looked like Dion Jordan crashed into his knees while making a tackle. Is he OK? Any updates?

Dolphins rookie linebacker Jordan Tripp, who injured his chest in Thursday’s preseason win against Dallas, is expected to miss 1-to-2 weeks, the Palm Beach Post has learned.

Specifics of the chest injury are not immediately known. But that timetable means Tripp could miss the first week or two of the regular season.

The game was so lackluster they can't remember the correct team we played.

I think you are confusing the term with "a turtle-head"

We never had a trade partner...have you seen the dead money on his contract? Just JLC being a jackass. As for Jordan, too early to tell, great tools but he was productive in limited snaps last year, he might never live up to the #3 overall pick billing but the tools are there so we at least owe him a year that isn't an injury riddled rookie year.

How is that not a penalty? When the defender leads with his helmet it is a penalty and you can be damned sure they will call it. Why is it not when a WR or RB does it?

RB is allowed to lower the helmet and contact with the crown of the helmet within 5 yards from the LOS. Didn't see the play but that may explain why no penalty.

A nuclear device was implanted in his chest, should be ready in a couple of weeks.
