I know it's too early to talk trades and specially trading away our most widely respected player, but don't you think that's logic? Jordan RE, Vernon back to LE with a pretty decent back up in Shelby. We could get a second easily and open even more cap space, then we could get a 3rd-5th rounder to back up Jordan at RE.

Bad idea. Cam is our leader and our best pass rusher. He is ailing still from injury, but he still gets good penetration. We are a young team that needs veterans in the lockeroom. Next year Dion should be playing WOLB and eventually could take over for Wake in 2 years. For a team trying to make a deep playoff run next year, it would be stupid to trade our best pass rusher.

I understand your logic, i just dont think its a good idea.

No way Jordan could play WOLB in this defense... or any at the matter. SOLB sure, but not WOLB.

And well it does make business sense and Ireland is all about that, if he sees value in a trade there's hardly any he wouldn't do.

Why not just have three solid pass rushers? Why do we need to trade one?

Not that we can't but it sure would save us a lot of money and would trim about 2 years from our age average on our starting D-line, not that Wake is getting old to the point of becoming ineffective but you want to plan ahead of that...

There is a tonn of duplicate threads lately. I don't get why its so hard to read whats on the forum before putting your .02 in

Jordan is a pass rusher Best used on the weak side. Why would we plug him on the strong side? HEs not a run stopper.

Having three very good pass rushers is needed in this NFL. We are building something here. Add weapons to it an do not subtract.

Agreed. Why give away a proven talent for someone who isn't proven? Better yet why give Ireland another 2nd round pick?!?!

Before this season pass rush was one of our biggest weaknesses. Now people want to trade one of our best pass rushers? I don't see the logic.

btw, we have four good pass rushers. Derrick Shelby makes some noise. Not recently, but he probly does more than you realize.

Also noticed Koa Misi has been getting some sacks and rushing rather nicely lately.

Lets build this offense!
