June 11th OTA updates

Looks like that's it. Next time well get any updates is in the mini camp on the 19th of this month.

datruth55 ... GREAT JOB with the twitter updates ... best football thread we've had in weeks!! Kudos to you!!

In the past some of our brothers have gone to practices & given us reports here ... looking forward to those too!!

I completely agree on Volin vs Kelly. It's absolute night and day. One is a professional while the other prefers to think of himself as almost a celebrity friend of athletes... at least going by his attitude and execution.

Thanks. Unfortunately non of the OTA sessions or mini camps are open to the public. We'll have to wait until training camp.

I'm new reading Kelly and the guy sucks. For someone actually watching practice he's doesnt say anything

I dont really care for omar either but he is the hardest worker of any beat writer we have. he gives us the most news by far.

It all sounds good to me. The Jet's S Holmes walked off the field because of having to "work too much" and we have players running extra laps after practice.

I expect M Moore, J Pruitt and R Wallace etc to get a lot of early work to see if they can make it because I think their time on the practice squad is used up. While we did not invest draft picks in them, we did invest a lot of time.

There is certainly nothing wrong with having two veterans that can start at QB and having a Rookie sitting and learning behind them. That is a good thing, to now only have one solid veteran QB but to have two of them depth wise. I'd run the season with all three of them on the team.

I'd give Tannehill the scout team to run and allow him extra time with the young WRs, TEs etc that will be on the practice squad. That way they can improve together and have something going when they work themselves up to be on the team or even starting.

It sounds like due partly to injuries, Lane has a chance to make the team as a part time FB and short yardage back. From what Philin has said, we will not use a FB very much. We are going to be more of a single back, two TE formation team. We wanted another big back in case J Massam does not return from being hurt both to work as a short yardage back and to plug in when we use a FB so C Clay can spend more time at TE. J Lane might simply be a body until Messam return but could very well make the team if he is not able to.

J Lane is listed at 277 pounds although that means little, I'd like someone watching practice to say how big he looks. His stat of running for 49 TDs at Texas A&M is a eye opener.

I think one reason that Jeron Mastrud is working on his long snapping is that we want to carry up to 4 TEs. Maybe Fasano, Mastrud, Clay and Egnew.

if thats the case LUG i hope its not mastrud !!! ,for me yeatman was better in his 2 games last year , not keen on mastrud , sorry!
