Junior Seau passes away..RIP

Good guy, good football player, good Dolphin. His HOF induction will be harder to watch than Reggie White's, whenever that happens.

Wow, that is shocking news. Seau always came across as a super positive guy on the field. It goes to show you never know what is going on in a man's head, R.I.P Junior - you were one of my favourite Dolphins.

Definetley a sad day for the entire NFL and anyone associated with this great person....Junior Seau will be missed.

My condolences go out to his friends and family

RIP #55

It's sad because so many stories of him being such a nice guy. I don't know the exact name of his ethnicity (too lazy to look it up) but generally those people are extremely nice and outgoing so it's not hard to believe he was one of the nicest guys you would have ever met. But if it's true that he did indeed commit suicide, it's a very selfish act. His family now has to live with that with the rest of their lives. Not knowing if it was their fault or wishing they could have done something will always be in the back of their mind for the rest of their lives. It's also 10x worse because he had kids and if I'm not mistaken 1 or 2 are young. How do you do that to yourself when you have kids? Shouldn't they be the first thing in your life? They are your world. If he was depressed, kind of sad because your kids should make you happy and get through things. He should have thought about his family then himself, very very selfish act.

There was a time in my life when it crossed my mind, but I have kids so I always saw it as out of the question. It is very sad, but selfish.

Bunch of hipsters here will probably dislike my post.
There was a time in my life when it crossed my mind, but I have kids so I always felt it was out of the question. I guess he just couldn't take any more, I think that is always the reason in a nutshell. It is very sad, but also very selfish.

RIP 55, he was a joy to watch play the game, both in and out of a Dolphins Uniform. He was one of those guys you just enjoyed watching play the game. Such a tragic ending.

RIP to one of the best that ever did......55 forever!!

Seau was always a sportsman on the field and this is definitely a shock. I respected him a lot but I was also disappointed when he defected to the "patsies".

Yeah, people who commit suicide are just selfish. No kind of uncontrollable mental issues that are horrible beyond comprehension at work there at all...

Pure ignorance.

agreed. He was most likely manic depressive/bipolar. When they get into one of their depressive episodes, its difficult to control, let alone see a light at the end of the tunnel.
