Not that it was an earth shattering message or anything, but it seemed that dave actually made someone accountable for something, after making the no-brainer move to toss Lamont Brightful. But alas, dave shows us once again why he's the NFL's biggest p--sy!
Wannstedt said the Dolphins had reached an agreement with kick returner Wesley Welker before Sunday's loss, and that Lamont Brightful's fumbles had nothing to do with Welker's arrival.
"This wasn't any premeditated move that we thought through because we were disappointed in Lamont Brightful," Wannstedt said. "It was just that we really liked what [Welker] did in the preseason.''
which beggs the question: what the F does a guy gotta do (even a guy who's been with the team for 2 weeks and you have no attachment toand fumbles or drops almost all his returnes in his first game) to dissapoint Dave? One could argue that dave had balls to bench jay. But you'll never be able to convince me that he wasn't all but forced to by wayne, via Rick.
some posted the obvious question of why dave didn't get in anyone's face after Sunday's awful performance. Pathetic, in my opinion. But at least there's a guy or two who was willing to stand up and be heard in the midst of the chaos. but alas dave poo pooed that one too.
"Wannstedt likes Randy McMichael's leadership skills, but wasn't thrilled with the tight end's helmet toss on the sideline in Sunday's loss. "We won't have that again. He can get enthused, but let's be positive about it,'' Wannstedt said.
which beggs another obvious question. How the F can someone find anything "positive" about the O's performance? what dave? No one lost their helmets that game? The Gatoraid was especially tasty that night? The keepers did a great job cutting the grass? what exactly?

I suppose you'd prefer him to say that he really liked Brightful and would normally keep him, but he was just trying to show the fans how tough he could be..... If they were looking to replace Brightful BEFORE his bad performance, doesn't that make him smarter and not just wimpy?

Perhaps you'd like Wanny to kick Brightful when he is down just to make you feel better. Maybe he could say, "We were going to cut him anyway, but I want to take a few parting shots after his bad performance just to show how tough I can be."

Do you stay awake at night thinking of things to bash Wanny with?

Well, there you go. That says it all.....

What DW SHOULD have done with the McMichael incident was said, "if we had more of that kind of spirit on the field, you'd see a different team out there." That way you don't squelch the behavior, you just subtly suggest that you want it shown more on the FIELD rather than the sideline.

Dave should not have said anything and let everyone assume he axed him due to poor performance... Same with Randy, don't friggin talk about it. Poor judgement IMO.

He knows why he made the move, no matter how much snow he tries to shove up our behinds, he is just trying to help the young guy maybe catch on somewhere else. You really think if Brightful would have say returned one for a TD, no fumbles, and a bunch of good gains that we would have put him on the street?? Dave is trying to be PC way too much but dont look too much into his "coach speak".

After 4 years, I've learned to watch what Wannstedt does, not say. Anything he says is gibberish and not very indicative of what he's really thinking or doing. They don't give the press anything around here.

Bs

Wannys statement is clearly BS. Does anybody think that if Brightful had ran back those punts for TDs instead of Fumbling that he would have been cut anyway! Please be serious. Wanny must take us for idiots as well.

Don't listen to FinfanInBuffalo, he criticizes everyone that has anything bad to say about the organization. When I predicted a poor season even before Ricky left he called me an idiot and said I was a Bills fan in disguse. So finfan, who was right? Are we headed in the right direction? Is our offensive line as good as you said it would be during the offseason?? LMFAO good call there.
