Just wondering, are we still going to blame the refs for every loss?

No, not every ref. Of course not. But with the level of money to be had, it's unquestionable that certain refs are on the take for certain games.

There's only ONE way to stop it, too. And it's this: An INDEPENDENT review board that watches game tape of every game, coupled with a removal of the "judgment calls" and the ability for coaches to challenge across the board. It's the judgment calls where crooked refs make their money.

IF you have real accountability built in, where the refs have to answer for their jobs (review of their judgment calls or lack of calling egregious, etc.). An independent review board w. teeth.

Right now, refs answer to the league. Ultimately run by Goodell.

Anyone who thinks that Goodell is not crooked is simply self-deceived. The list is way to long to ignore.

One problem is all these guys are older than the players and some coaches, get people younger no one past 55.

The only really bad call I saw today was the hit on a defenseless receiver call. And yes, that was in Miami's favor.

However, I thought the Steelers got away with a lot of holding.

So you didnt see Ref watching the Hartline TD catch clearly rule it incomplete when his eyes were right on the play? Just one example but it cost Mia a challenge they should NOT have had to use. Matter of fact there were two zebras in the area...The fix was in

Not for every loss - just the ones where their bad calls prevented a win or at least the possibility of a win. The.non call on our FG attempt vs the Ravens as compared to the call against NE (as surprising as that itself was) that enabled a play continuation and a makeable winning FG would be stood example.

What has disappointed me about refs is how many bad PI calls against Miami has this year but Seattle and their brutish DBs hardly ever get them. Definitely some favoritism going on.

No....but we should blame them for a majority of the Patriots wins......including the bogus Pass Interference call that gave them the game today

I for one, don't blame the refs for a loss (except the Roethlisberger fumble game). We should win the game in spite of bad calls. That said...the refs have given our opponents 18 pts this year by my count. The Ravens game game Carroll and Wilson were flagged on back to back plays to put the Ravens on the one for an easy 7. In New England when Jimmy Wilson forced Brady's fumble, Vernon was called for batting when he was clearly trying to recover it. So instead of 3rd and 35 it was 1st and 10. The Pats went from out of FG range to scoring a TD on the drive. Finally Kuechly's hit in the Panthers game should have given Miami the ball on the one. Instead we had to take a FG. That whole game was poorly officiated...both ways.

Despite all the technology we have these days, why have we not but a tracking chip in the football? So the NFL/Goodell still has some control over outcomes and can blame it on "human error". To me, there is no other explanation why the NFL wouldn't move forward with more foolproof methods of officiating and ball tracking.

The Ravens got another bad PI call at the end of their game which took away a game ending interception. I've seen NE get the benefit of 3 phantom PI calls so far this season and I've only seen 4 or 5 of their games, who knows how many countless others they get.
