Kay-Jay Harris

I'm going to go out on the line here. I have no support for what I am saying other than my long standing observations of the Dolphins and this organization. Historically my intuitions, understandings and insights are right on target and I have been enormously accurate to date with the Saban regime. I predicted many things that have occured - accumulated the best coaching staff - most players would be extremely eager to join Miami and play for Saban - Ricky would return - and other predictions have been on the mark so...

Kay Jay will make the team, play quite a bit and be a very important part of our offensive weaponry. He's big, tough, fast, raw and mature. Check it out - that is my Kay Jay prediction - so if it goes well I will boast I told you so and if not go ahead and hold it against me...And I will openly admit my mistake if that is what it turns out to be. Kay Jay is for real and the rest will be history!

Kay Jay will more than likely be the 2005 version of Fred Russell, and in the end, get cut and get signed to another teams' 53 man roster to be the #3 RB

as of right now, our 2 FBs would be Evans and Morris (I was holding out hope for Martin because he's an absolute beast of a blocker, but have not heard anything about him in the 15+ practices we've had)

Hey... Martin is a freakin beast! The boy looks like an animal and I am actually expecting some good things from him in preseason...

but thats just the thing.....I dont know if Linehan would keep somebody like him on the roster because he's a one trick pony. He's slow, but he's almost like another O-lineman in the backfield. I'm not sure though that thats enough to keep him in Scott's O

i think it depends on ricky williams-
if saban plans on dealing him after this season,
then might as well keep him,
especially if on the PS.

what happens if ronnie got hurt next year,
wed be down to the same crew as last year.

Maybe not... but it is definatly gunna be fun watchin him just run people over in preseason...

So do yall think he'll play in the HOF game?

and maybe preseason games....Could one of yall record me the preseason games and mail it to me and i'll pay ya for it. Because here in WV. most people are either Steeler or Panther fans

I think that last one isnt Kay-Jay... I am pretty sure that it was someone like Quincy Morgan or something

Quincy Wilson, but what i was saying is that he had some nice carries in that game. and broke the bigeast single game rushing record with over 300 yards. The boy is special. I really hope he gets ledigiment playing time...Or atleast make the team

He will definatly see alot of PT in the HOF game and the preseason games. The best part of his game isnt his speed or agility... its his power and you cant really judge that until people are actually tryin to tackle him... He will get his chance and if he produces and looks like the animal he can be, then he will make the team IMO.

He pretty fast for his age, weight and height man

he runs a 4.65, but he's almost 6'1 and about 245-250

Sports illustrated gave him a 3.65

4.99 to 4.10 -- Quality Prospect -- Someone that consistently gives good performances. Occasional Pro-Bowl appearances.
4.09 to 3.75 -- First-Year Contributor -- Prospect that has the ability to make plays from the get-go and start early into his rookie season.
3.74 to 3.45 -- Future Starter -- A good athlete that must learn to be a football player or someone who is an “overachieverâ€Â. Quality prospect with long term potential
3.44 to 3.35 -- Fence Player -- Prospect on the fence that has the skills and abilities to succeed but needs time and patience to develop those skills to the fullest.
3.34 to 2.99 -- Practice Squad -- Late-round player that must develop his talents on the practice squad and NFL Europe.
2.98 to 2.40 -- Free Agent -- Player who will make a 60 or 80 man roster.

On one of your questions forgot who it was, but you asked about his recieving yards and rushing

Recieving- 20 receptions for 181 recieving yards and 3 td's

Rushing- 960 yards 165 attempts and 10 total td's

He was projected to go mid-third round...So miami got a steal with him!

POSITIVES: Well-sized interior ballcarrier who can handle the load. Patient back who sees the field, finds the hole, then breaks several tackles during a single hand off. Drives up the field, tough to bring down, and falls forward when tackled, picking up extra yardage. Possesses a burst of speed, relatively quick footed and wedges through the small openings in the defense. Aggressively puts his shoulders into opponents and delivers punishing blows. Adequate speed and agility around tackle. Displays good hands out of the backfield, extending to catch the pass away from his frame.

ANALYSIS: Possessing outstanding size/speed numbers for the next level and showing flashes of dominance carrying the ball, Harris is a prospect worthy of being a top-45 choice at face value. Yet when taking into consideration his injury history and age, he sits as a late first day choice best suited in a system that rotates ballcarriers.

I think it depends on how many TE/H-back types he keeps. After Randy, we have the mistake prone Lee, and a group of young players that we don't know how good they can be. Could we perhaps see someone like Martin be used in a Jim Kleinsasser type of role? Or maybe Evans will be used in such a way. Kleinsasser was for the most part a one-trick pony wasn't he? Although he is very good at his one trick: blocking. He also was used somewhat as a receiver, maybe 2-3 short catches a game over his career, as an outlet or safety valve. Martin could probably do that much as well. Though Evans may be ideally suited for such a role.
As for RBs, at the final cutdown, Ricky goes on the suspended list for 4 games not the 53 man roster. So it could come down to the RB/FBs being Brown, Morris, Evans, Gordon and Harris. If we keep only two TEs, like maybe Holmes to go with Randy, then maybe we also keep Martin. It is certainly possible that Harris will outplay Minor and maybe also Gordon in the preseason and force Saban to keep him, b/c he 's looked too good to take a chance on getting him on the PS.
