Kelly wasn't bad

He was an excellent QB.The Best QB the UM has produced IMO.He had a great arm could scramble and was gutsy.He was overshadowed somewhat by two of the best QBs of alltime Marino and Elway who came out from that great 83 QB Draft with him.
 
Kelly was a great qb, however Kelly was also a product of his system in Buffalo and that did inflate his numbers a bit. I used to dread playing against him and Thomas. In my mind it's as bad that Kelly didn't win a superbowl as much as with Dan. He always was a solid embassador to the game.

Absolutely, however it should never be forgotten that Kelly had a COMPLETE team around him, Dan never came close to having that luxury.
 
Kelly was great,but it was Thurman Thomas ,who really gave
us fits back then.
 
Marino never had a back like Thurman Thomas to hand off to or even throw to! Everybody knew Marino was gonna throw and they still couldn't stop him!!!
 
Jim Kelly was the man, Dan Marino was the man and John Elway was the man. Who's greater... That just depends who you are a fan of. They were all great.
 
Yeah, Kelly's toughness is what stood out to me, he'd take the big shot on one play and scramble three yards for a first on the next. But there is no doubt that Thurman was the Dolphin killer on that offense.....

Kind of. He played in a really great system, but it was a system that HE RAn.

I think people forget that Jim called the plays, ...the no-huddle in its prime was a thing of beauty...fast paced, tiring defenses, Jim calling the shots, Hull calling the blocks.

Yeah...Kelly denied it, but Harbaugh admitted punching Jimbo, and came away with a busted finger...

IMo, kelly was letting him off light denying it, cause its embarassing to break your hand on sombodies face.
