Kenny Stills worth a look?

His play on the field made me uncomfortable. And this over a guy who statically was only ever an average receiver and who statiscally now a bad wife receiver.

I don't like the guy, and thats because the last time we saw him as a Dolphin he had 37 catches over 15 games even though he was our longest tenured skill player, well paid to produce, and got paid over far more entertaining and impacted players who it on the field while Kenny took less hits than a qb on a reconstructed knee.
His play on the field made you uncomfortable???

ONE dismal play against Seattle is the only play I can see you talking about because you can't be talking about the 16 yard per catch average here, with subpar QB play and coaching...so that flies in the face of your average receiver (and right now we don't even have that). He was released by a team that traded the near future for him and Laremy Tunsil and also traded a top 3 WR in the league for a bag of Doritos, so you can spare me the attempt to use him as being average. You would further show how disingenuous your position is if you say something like, "Kenny Stills is so bad that he couldn't beat out Keke Coutee for WR2." <---nobody believes that

We are down to Grant as our WR1...

Thats not the Stills I was watching. Show me a clip that he slided before first down.
I don't have a clip but in the Miami miracle game he slid a yard before the first down marker late in the game, resulting in not getting a first down. The next play was a sack and we had to punt.

You may think Kenny Stills was a super viable receiver, but he was a one trick pony, and that one trick pretty much disappeared when he didn't have better players around him so he could get lost in the defense. As far as that one trick he wasn't even the best Dolphin in recent years at that - that was Mike Wallace. But you won't hear kind words about Mike Wallace on this board, even though by the end of it they both had big contracts.

Stills was our de facto#1 in 2018 and he had 37 catches! That's awful! His median game in 2018 was one catch. That means they most likely outcome anytime he took the field that year was a single catch. For a #1 receiver. That's unfathomably bad. He had 3 games over 50 yards receiving the entire year...3 games. That means that 12 times he took the field as our #1 receiver (he was out one week) he got less than 50 yards...and only one of those times was he even close to 50.

The guy just was a mediocre football player.

2018 huh...checked the roster because I know that you were going to leave out salient points that would cast a longer shadow on your position. Here's what I came up with.

2018 Dolphins QBs were:
  1. Ryan Tannehill
  2. Brock Ostweiler
Even with this "Murderer's Row" he was still the leading WR on the team.

For the record, Stills is not a #1 WR and he's STILL light years better than anything getting paid to wear aqua and orange on Sundays, which is the point of this thread.

If you think a guy who maxed at around 800 yards is better than a 1200 yard receiver that says a lot about your opinion.

Heck, you just said a guy with 11 catches in 10 games playing with Deshaun Watson is better than anyone.

Thank you.

That's not what I said. What I said was that Kenny Stills is a better WR#1 than Grant.

I forgot what your position on this was.

It doesn't really matter.

You just said anyone in a Dolphins uniform. Not anyone Jakeem Grant.

But at least Grant sells out despite being the smallest guy in the league.
