Kiper gives us a "C" draft grade

Kiper has Tannenhill as his like 18th prospect so he must think he is elite and a first round talent. I can't understand how he could have a problem with Miami taking Tannenhill if he considers him a first round prospect and the 3rd best QB in the draft.

thats great!! i have a fairly low opinion of kiper and his ratings so for him to not love what we did is a good sign to me. i firmly believe the boys at universal draft have a better grip on college prospects than mel, thanks for all the work guys.

I also got a kick out of watching that espn show, Gruden slowly got more and more annoyed by mel's blather that it began to show on his face and eventually i think it was hard for Gruden not to blow a gasket or laugh in the guys face,,,,, they had to put someone in between the two of em',, fargin hilarious.

Not always in agreement with Kiper, but I am grateful for him. He has played a big part in the draft becoming what it is today. I think he is right on with a "C" and Tannehill's success has the potential to move it to an "A." Beyond Tannehill, I think the draft was solid enough that even if Tannehill doesn't become a franchise QB this draft wont drop lower than a "C"...other than Randall I can see all other draft picks being able to contribute.

Kiper is the biggest idiot in football, afterall, he works at espn

I can't believe people have to pay to read this guy's thoughts on a draft that just happened. His guess is as good as yours.

Who anointed Kiper a draft guru, anyway? Does he have a professional certification of some kind, or is he just a showman?

I have the same professional certification Kiper does, which is none, and I give our draft a B. Does this mean I get to hire a hair stylist and go do a draft show?

Tannehill is obviously the key to this draft ...we could have busts everywhere else and if he pans out its an A tome.

"JaMarcus Russell is going to immediately energize that fanbase, that football team -- on the practice field, in that locker room," ESPN's Mel Kiper said at the time. "Three years from now you could be looking at a guy that's certainly one of the elite top five quarterbacks in this league. ...You're talking about a 2-3 year period once he's under center. Look out because the skill level that he has is certainly John Elway-like."

This is all you need to know about Mel Kiper and every other "draft expert".
