Kiwaukee Thomas signed (rumor?)

Actually I have and I know all about him, his navy commitments...

False info? I have no idea, I really hope we signed him. Would be a real good pickup.

Wouldnt be false info, this is the Herald not some message board.

Probably realized he posted it too early, maybe NS wanted to make the formal announcement first or something. Maybe he was taking a physical so not official yet. Who knows.. but we likely signed him.

and you would also know that this isnt a problem. Miami would've never claimed him if they were going to be a problem. They undoubtedly checked with his officers before they made the move

Miami hasn't spent anything, offcourse they don't care about that. It was one of the things that hurt his draft value.

I didnt mean to read the preview itself, but usually they contain a tidbit about the players on a team.. You could learn about his ability/what he contributed to the Jags there.

Enough with the Gibson! We get it! You dont like it!

What do you know about his Navy commitments? Before the draft I read that he is commited to them for 2-3 yrs but would be allowed to go to camp this summer, which he did with the Pats, as we know. What happens between him and the Navy from this point forward?

I didn't read the whole thread but all you said was that "he was a beast w/ the Pats". If you think 20 carries for 80 yards is a beast, why isn't Sage "the beast" Rosenfels starting for us this year?

Hes a FB not a RB.

He was a RB...

He still is used like Konrad was supposed to be coming out of college.

So have we signed Thomas or not? Can't see any evidence of this in the link.

I don't really know. But we will find out later today i guess.

I can confirm that I was the second person to enter the thread, I clicked on the link, and it said we had signed him. We probably did and they took it off until the official announcement.

Another tidbit on him that I found in The Sporting News' preview:

"Kiwaukee Thomas again will be the nickel corner. He is a solid defensive back whose strength is his ability to play zone coverage."

Mario Edwards was brought in for his zone ability as well. Nick did his homework!

Please let this be true. I'm not overly familiar with his game, but I would much rather have a young guy like Thomas with some upside than a T-Buck or Taylor who are clearly on the decline. And we definitely need to carry one more corner.

sorry, didn't realize you needed war and peace to be rewritten......

if you read the rest of the thread, you'd know how he performed in college, that he's a good runner, and has pretty good hands out of the backfield. Somebody who can get the tough yards up the middle. The Pats fans were quite disappointed that they didn't even keep him on their 53 man squad
