Knee Surgery to sideline David Garrard

MAYBE, and I mean MAYBE, you see Philbin put Garrard on PUP, which would mean they've got till week 6 to keep him, reach an injury settlement, or put him on IR.

This does seem a tad fishy. He hadn't missed any practices and nobody saw anything wrong, and this isn't something that you just do out of the blue. Especially when you are in the middle of a heated competition.

In Matt Moore's case I'm just glad he's going to be getting more reps.

I preferred two young guys like Moore/Tanny anyways. Was never on the Garrard bus at all. Granted he didn't have the greatest of talent in JAX and he kept his turnovers down, but he wasn't a big play guy.

doesn't matter when he comes back...move on...no contact and already ailing...move on ireland

This is ridiculous!!!!

In case you didn't know, there is contact during Training Camp... And sometimes FIGHTS as well...

Well think again.

He maybe didnt have the injury before signing. He might not have it now. He might have purposely tweaked it. Who knows. All I know is I know a bum trying to collect a check for nothing when I see one. His character has been demonstrated before, and it shows again.

As far as Moore, youre wrong. It wasnt the D that lead us to 6-3 down the stretch, it was Moore. Thats why the players voted him team MVP. Henne lost us several games we shouldve easily won in that first 7. Browns, Broncos come to mind. Moore wins those games. The D wasnt horrible in the first 7 weeks. We had a 3 TD pass performance in there for the first time in forever. The offense looked good in the last 9 games because our QB play was so much better. Quit sleeping on Matt Moore.
While I do agree that Moore was a big part of the turnaround, he started when we were 0-4. His first three starts were losses against the Jets, Broncos (which you attributed to Henne), and Giants.

he was wearing a compression sleave in practice a couple days ago...those aren't just for show...he was nursing something...doesn't mean it was serious or something that you have to go under the knife for always obviously but in his case it did...

could be a blessing in disguise...Moore should've been named the starter...Garrard missed all of last season, while Moore gained the respect of all his teammates and was part of the upper half of the better qbs in the league during the final half of the season...lets see what moore or tannehill gives us...i think this is only good things for the team honestly...Moore or Tannehill to start the season makes me more than pleased...

Can they put him on PUP? I thought you had to start camp on PUP to be eligible to be on the PUP during the regular season.

YO!!! Jeff Ireland can I sign for a $1 Million Dollars? Sure Dolfan91, Whatcha got? Well Mr. Ireland; Sir, I have a bag of HO HO's and Chicken Wire holding my neck together!!! Ok Dolfan91 you can start week 1 ... Jeez it doesn't get any easier than this to score a million bucks ...

Welp, I guess this will make it easier for Tannehill to earn the starting job. No complaints here if he gets the job done.

why the hell you guys gonna pup him and use a 53 man roster spot??? lmao...you serious...

How did he get hurt? Miami(and everyother team) doesn't allow the QB to be breathed on......I have to assume this was done on off-time, right?

That's not true. With little he had to work with in J-Ville, his last healthy year he completed 45% of his deep passes. http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/05/10/going-deep/
