Knowing this I move Kuhn onto the list of players to target.

We need to let Thomas go and give Kuhn his position. Get it done, FO.

yeah it was the lack of a true lead fullback as to why this team could not convert in short yardage...

kuhn is EXACTLY what this offense needs

If Miller and Thomas are our 2 running backs, we would be better off with Kuhn being the short yardage AND 3rd down back. On short yardage might have to bring in big Paul Soliai to lead for Kuhn.. hopefully we upgrade the RB position.

Tom Rathman was a part of possibly the greatest WC team of ALL-TIME (1988-1989 49ers). A FB can definitely be used in a West-Coast Offense.

Joe has turned the Fins into a finesse team and it is against my philosophy of how to win. Give a physical, blue collar football team...2012 Ravens...this year's Niners team. Plus, that style travels. Like it or not, we are going the other direction.

I disagree on the style of play preferred. Also the Ravens won with Flacco chunking 11 TD's in the playoffs/Superbowl and not the total of 2 TD's produced on the ground. I do think however having the pieces to a package you can put in the game a couple plays to get those tough yards is necessary. All and all I think Kuhn would bring some pass protection pride and disciple to this team.

Once again, that great offensive innovator "Philbin" will tell everyone that a full back isn't needed in his modern offense let alone a running back.

The interesting thing here is that Joe almost certainly helped to develop Kuhn up in Green Bay. While he fervently avoided recruiting any Packers players to date, Kuhn would come as a known commodity at a time when we definitely need to improve our running game. Also interesting to note that Kuhn is an extremely popular player in Green Bay. He could be a relatively low cost form of blocking insurance.

From interviews that Sherman gave, it was Philbin who wanted to pass more. Sherman wanted a more balanced attack.

I never said that you could not throw the ball and had to hide your QB. However, teams need balance and that obviously means being able to have a good running game. IMO, you run the ball and set up play action…and take your shots for chunk plays.

This is a QB driven league, but that also does not mean a QB has to throw 65% of the time like the Fins asked of RT. That was way too much pressure on the second year QB.
