Knowshon Moreno needs to be the starter

Re-watching the game, I'm impressed with both Damien Williams and Orleans Darkwa. Good vision and one cut N go ability from both. These are two very good developmental backs, who could both contribute this year.

Time to kick Thomas and Gilliselee to the curb.

Wow! The same people who don't want to hear about anything good about RT if he has a good throw, play or even a drive are creaming in their pants after one half of football in a preseason game against the Dallas D. Now you're ready to change the whole roster.

I am a Miller supporter and I like the kids ability, yet I still was very impressed by Moreno last night. He was straight up ballin, and fired up. I don't know the stats but it did appear he got more attempts so we saw more of him but he still did very well. I just don't see how we can crown him the best back on the roster. Honestly if you're going off of last nights game alone, D Williams showed more heart and power than all of them. He caught some serious attention last night.

stats between the two, Moreno got 10 carries with a 6.5 ypc, and miller got 7 carries for 4.9ypc.

Face it Miller lovers, Moreno is stronger, tougher, has better vision and is straight up a better runningback in the NFL than Lamar Miller. Most of us knew that when Moreno signed.

You got to see both Moreno and Miller with the first team against the Dallas first team. One of them looked a lot better than the other. How is this one hard to accept / figure out?

Small sample, but it was enough to see how much more authority Knowshon runs with over Miller. His vision is light years ahead of Miller's too.

I refused to believe Moreno would be a better runner than miller, but after last nights game, Moreno has won me over.

The biggest difference to me is Moreno sees where the first defender is coming from, and he can handle it. Miller for some reason seems to have no ability to beat the first guy. Your not a #1 if you can't do that.

I know I saw less than half of one preseason game against a bad D. Are you really that reactionary that one good half a game determines everything in the season for you?

Again, Moreno was very impressive and showed some serious fire and I loved it. If he plays like that more then I'm all for him starting. All I'm saying is that it seems absurd to start cutting players and crowning others based off of 10 plays in a preseason game.

I don't understand why you're ignoring Moreno's strong play in Denver and Miller's poor play to date.

Out of curiosity, you're not a UM fan, are you?

Miller sucks bro. I'm not going to drink the Moreno cool aid, but you seem like a fan with an agenda. Look, Miller has shown nothing. No vision, no tackle breaking, no patience, terrible blocking, drops passes, eft. It should not surprise you that some random back could get here and showcase a skill set in one half a game that looks more complete than Miller showed all season. Contrast is distorting reality. Moreno is not great, its just Miller has been that bad.

Didn't Miller have a dropped pass tonight?

Yeah, he did. And if he had been behind tannehill it would have been picked up and a touchdown for Dallas. It's frustrating, seen it too many times. He doesn't catch the ball cleanly

This is an unusual thread. Was there ever any question Knowshon wasn't going to be the starter?

Moreno is a talented player. His career got off to a slow start, but he put up 1,500+ total yards and 13 TD's last season. He's doesn't have the burst that elite backs do, but he runs hard and smart with good balance and pad level, and he does the little things.
