Knowshon Moreno signs one year deal with Dolphins

my guess is 3.5, complete throw at a dart board, not at all educated, just guessing.

I don't buy that. Just the other day Philbin said he didnt have a good feel for Gillislee yet, and Hickey hasn't even seen him play yet.

And their talk about Miller wasn't exactly an endorsement. It was more of coachspeak when he said "Miller can do all the thing you want a RB to do"....which we all know is BS. Miller cant block, catch, or be a goalline back.
 
A one year "prove it deal". Good deal. Hickey has been solid in FA so far. Let's see how he does in the draft.

You'd assume Moreno becomes the lead back. But the Dolphins will no doubt have a training camp/preseason competition with Moreno & Miller.

millers going to be the 2nd back the change of pace guy...what he should be...he's not a alpha guy...moreno should be the starter i imagine this salary will help justify that too...but i still would bring in a bad news with bad intentions downhill big back as th 3rd guy and rotational active on gamedays

3 headed unit of moreno miller and draft pick i can work with that

Somewhat of a fan, he had some fumble issues, one was so weird the way his own line man caused it in the USF game I believe.

I doubt it's that much. 3.5 would be more then any other runningback got this year. Since he's lasted this long in free agency, if we paid him over 2.5 then we prolly overpaid.
 
Nice get here. Not much risk for a 1 year deal and better than what we have now.
 
i'm saying 1 year $4 mil...just enough where the broncos said nah we'll pass...probably with some guaranteed money maybe all of it

Last year, Miller caused 20 missed or broken tackles. Moreno had 21 on 241 rushes. FWIW.
 
Frankly, if Moreno is cheap enough, I'd bring in Blount too. I think the whole RB depth chart needs to be re-evaluated. What's the worse that could happen? Blount, Moreno, Miller, Thigpen and Gillislee? Oh I would shed a tear.

And I'll say exactly what I said when we passed on Vonta Leach last year. We NEED to address short yardage and goal line. How don't care how cute and finesse you are as an offense, when all 11 defenders are 5 yards from the LOS then you'd better be able to get that yard by making a hole and punching it in. It takes power, not finesse, to win that battle.
 
Moreno can help protect RT alot better than miller or Thomas, he is a good low risk signing. Still say get Jeremy Hill and cut DT
 
Now the Moreno is signed?

Now that Moreno is signed, it is pretty obvious that daniel thomas is cut. I doubt we could get a 7th for him.

Pretty good sign that we are going to draft in the OL with more than 1 pick.

Also, anyone think that we could trade up in this draft? I am sure the prices are higher in this draft than last years.

The OL Robinson would be a monster at RT.
