Now that the 26-year-old running back finds himself with the Miami Dolphins, fantasy football players want to know if he can carry over his impressive season to a new team. Things currently do not look good for Moreno, as he reportedly looks overweight and has apparently been working with the second team, but that shouldn’t deter players from taking a shot on him.
If you have ever seen Ben Roethlisberger during the preseason, you know players can quickly return to football shape.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill seemed to lay on the ground more than he stood up last season, but key additions in the draft should allow more protection for the signal caller, and more space will be created in the running game. Since he was able to protect one of the best quarterbacks in the game, the coaching staff will want Moreno on the field to utilize all of his talents. Once he is out there, expect his competition to fade away.
Moreno’s teammate Lamar Miller is not really known for his pass protection or being a dual-threat back, and Daniel Thomas struggles to stay healthy and has little involvement in the passing attack. Moreno may not have the 60 receptions in 2014 that he did with Manning last season, but he will finish with more than the Miller’s 26 receptions.
Moreno is going at the end of the fifth round and start of the sixth in mock drafts, and that is a great position to add a top-20 back who could sneak his way into the top-15 with the right circumstances. The hype train will once again say that Miller will have a great season, but the only running back for the Dolphins I want is the one who proved his worth in Denver.
Instead of worrying about Moreno adding a few pounds during the offseason, be more concerned with the fact that you could miss out on owning a top performer.

No way would I use a 5th or 6th rd pick on Moreno.

Moreno isnt even gonna start. He showed up out of shape is behind daniel thomas on the depth chart because of it. I wouldn't touch him in fantasy. Its gonna be close to 50-50 when it's all said and done with miller and Moreno

My expectation of Moreno is simply another guy in our running back commitee who can pick up the blitz. Miller and Thomas suck at that. I do not expect Denver numbers out of Knowshon as while I think our offense will be better I don;t see them being the most prolific offense in NFL history. I was reading some perspective from other teams fans on a PFT Moreno article and I think they believe us Dolphins fans are expecting a HUGE running season from Moreno. Shows us how dumb they are.

As long as this doesn't turn into another Ronnie Ricky disaster.

Can't tell you how many times either would be having a good game series after series of running the ball hard just to be subbed out and the latter would suck.

I'm all for committee, but if one is feeling it and having good runs keep him in.

It will be 70/30 Moreno. His arms are loaded with powerful muscle. Out of shape? Bull! Who said that Mando? And by the way it's June 4th! The guy will be a total beast by the Pats game and that's what counts in the standings.

Beast? Oh man the delusions of some fans.

Are you really saying you would not take Moreno over any of the fifth and sixth round backs from the 2014 draft: Tyler Gaffney, Alfred Blue, Marion Grice and Lache Seastrunk.

Depends on how many teams in your league, how many rounds/slots on roster, and the level of competition. That said, I'd lean toward taking a shot at him in a later round (however in my league I can guarantee he will be gone before I'm comfortable drafting him).

Are you suggesting DT will be higher on the depth chart tab KM once the season starts? If so it will be the most incorrect post of the year on FH and reality

I doubt the dude is out of shape or will not be in shape once the season starts. I read those quotes and laugh
