Kubiac, Wade Smith, and Ben Tate would be a great start

problem with wade smith is his shelf life...that dudes getting up there...really good on the move run blocker but also struggling in pass pro...gets tossed a lot

With Incognito coming off the books if you can get him for decent money...about what we were paying Incognito, I think you make the move as a stop gap at least. No way we can draft 4 OL in one draft to fix this expansion level OL we have.

Sign me up for Tate, he and Miller can share reps....

I would welcome Kubiak as OC, and I think Tannehill would be great in his offense. I'm not a fan of Tate or Smith though. We already have our Ben Tate in Lamar Miller - a back that can be effective in a limited role. And Wade Smith is in decline, as someone else already mentioned - and we all know how fast OL can fall off.

just remember what i said about pass pro...it isn't all that great looking...

i'm all for kubiak at the oc...no brainer right there...but they better get some athletic tackles to run that o or it's gonna suck

mr cole took a top def and put it at the bottom . and sherman is to old and sucks at play calling i do like philmen i think he should get one more year and by the way 2 of those int where on the recievers go tann you will be great look what you did with no run game and no off line jeff needs to be firerd now rossm really look at his draft class they are bad no help from them this year

ben tates injury history would have me not willing to pay him top money...priority should be athletic tackles...got to have em in a zbs especially if you want to run a kubiak system

we got dinosaur starting tackles in clabo and mckinnie...both awful move run blockers

Hell yes to Kubiak. He has a great offensive mind.

"The current Wade Smith is nowhere near how bad the Miami Wade Smith was. He's pretty good. Better than what we have."

Just like how the later version of Tony Martin was better than the younger version of Tony Martin....except he wasn't .

It is possible Kubiac would accept an OC position here because if nothing else it would be an on the job interview for head coach if next year turns into a disaster as well. Bringing in Smith and Tate would fill a couple of glaring holes we have right now as well as help the transition to a new offence.

If next year is a disaster, wouldn't that be an issue for Kubiac if he is running the Offense and it is a disaster? His on the job interview would be crap.

Sorry, but my brain cannot accept that Wade Smith would be an answer. It's unfathomable. With that said, common wisdom at the time was that we were playing him out of position and beyond his ability at LT. That was something I first heard on these boards. We half-heartedly attempted to accomplish this before cutting him, but he wasn't given a fair shot at a new position until he was gone. He made good on that and I give him credit for it.

Hoops, what do you think of bringing in Blount at RB? Never mind the character rap, I think he ran well this year and was mostly underused in NE. Would be cheaper than Tate too.

I think Kubiak could be the right guy though, he can run a good offense.. Although I know a lot of Texans fans had problems with his unimaginative play calling.

blount would be dirt cheap and a load downhill back...but how good is he in pass pro...when he's in the game he kind of limits what you can do on offense...but that was a good signing for new england for sure...
