RICKY AND THE RBS

Sammy Morris received the bulk of the work with the first unit and looked sharp on several cuts upfield. Once again, Saban had Ricky Williams and rookie Ronnie Brown lining up in the backfield. With McMichael lined up as an H-back with Williams, a screen pass from Frerotte was one-handed by Williams. Lamar Gordon has gone from the first team to an afterthought.

I'm starting to think that it would be best to try to trade L. Gordon this pre-season because his stock is going to drop if he stays buried in the depth chart too long. If we're lucky, we could possibly get a fifth rounder for him, IMO.

Another one of your GREAT trades Rick! THanks for nothing.

His stock is already worth nothing. Nobody will give us anything, because everyone knows we are going to cut him anyway.

He may stay because Ricky will be gone the first 5 weeks (bye). I think Harris also makes it for ST's play.

Well I'm just holding out hope that someone, somewhere gets a little desperate after losing someone to an injury and offers us that high of a pick. If not, I agree with you that his trade pick value will be even less, IMO.

Give the preseason time to play out. If there is an injury somwhere that will quickly change his stock from nothing to a little something.

Let's hope for the best.

Gordon looked bad against the Jags, he fumbled and that might get him cut if he plays bad tomorrow night

Sammy will be 3rd, kay jay and lamar will battle for final spot
Hey your sig turned out to be nice. NE ways, Gordan will probaly not make the cut IMO.

Gordon will stay the first 4 games IMO. Ricky doesnt count towards the 53 man roster for the first 4 games. I dont think Lamar will get cut until Ricky can come back... that MIGHT, (I repeat, MIGHT) give him some value for a trade.

If Ricky wasnt suspended, he would have no trade value because he probably wouldnt make the 53 man roster and teams could get him for free.

I think kay jay should be put at PS until week 4 and then get gordon's spot through the season..of course it would rely on gordon's play against pitt cause if he shows nothing i agree he might get cut/traded before the season starts..
I used to think spielman did not did so bad..now I see poole, carey (though 4th pick thrown away :fire: ), booker and hadnot as the only good things he brought in

Id rather have Minor honestly. Try and get anything you can for Lamar or just cut him I suppose. Minor is a better runner with better vision. Hes got that scrappy kind of power. He also has nice hands, returns kicks, covers kicks, and if you watch hes great at picking up the blitz. Lamar looks sloppy and lathargic (sp?).Lamars got better size and nice speed. I still think we need Minors versatiliy more than we need Lamars size. Morris is better than Lamar and will cover for Rickys suspension just fine along with Brown......JMHO

Hopefully Gordon will get out of Miami!! He needs to be with a team with potential!! His abilities are there, too bad he doesn't have a half descent offensive line in front of him. Absolutely pathetic!!!!! Ricky, Ronnie, Lamar, etc. are'nt going to do anything without a line. No question that Ricky and Ronnie will proabably do better than Gordon but it still won't be much. Obviousely the talant is there with Gorden, he has been able to prove that in practice; it's too bad he hasn't had a chance to show it in a game since he's getting hit within a yard after he gets the ball. Please trade Gordon!!!
