Lamar Miller 2013 Highlights

I didn't make the video, just found it on Armando's twitter feed... Worth a look, and maybe a discussion of people's expectations of Miller this year splitting with Moreno in Lazor's new offense.

For me, it's hard with Miller.. He shows a lot of promise as a change of pace back. Obviously he'll never be the bellcow sort of RB, but I think he can be an extremely valuable asset to the team. Give him a hole and he can rip a big run like few others in the league, his acceleration is top notch that way..

But he has a lot of brainfarts.. Like what happened at Tampa - turned a sure open-field TD into a lost fumble. And his physicality will always be lacking, that's just not his game.. Like I said, it's hard to know what his future will be.

I guess I'll say that I still believe in Lamar Miller, and Lazor's offense will be good for him. Him + mobile OL = potent screen game that should gash for yards. Moreno will cut into his carries, but he'll get enough to be effective and show us once & for all if he's to remain a Dolphin.

Your thoughts?

Miller was never expected to be physical, but his vision is amazing.

The fact he couldn't find space last year really shows just how bad our oline was.

We all saw the year before how easily he found running lanes with pretty few carries. I think an improved oline will help him immensely.

His acceleration to the 2nd level is filthy...that's for sure...vision is average especially the open field vision...should have scored more on break aways but he chose the wrong route...a bullet into the 2nd level but dropped like a stone on contact despite all the momentum way too much...you can count the number of times he carried more than one tackler for extra yards on one hand...you can also count the number of times the first guy didn't take him down on contact on the other hand

There's no doubt though if the run blocking gets better so will the production from Lamar miller...more suited to be an explosive change of pace and let your starter churn out more yards on contact etc

For all his speed he was chased down a few times after getting open last year. Thought thst was odd

Shame he cant catch. . Might have made a decent returner

I think that's the plan and why we signed Moreno.

Highlight videos prove nothing. Go watch EVERY play of Lamar Miller and tell me what you think then.

Remember Pat Whites highlight reel? Dudes shrimpin now.

My problem with Miller is simple. Vision is suspect. Gets "waisted" on tackles. Can't catch a cold. And blocking is nonexistent.
His speed is keeping him in the league.

VT? What NFL team is that?

VT is an abbreviation for Virginia Tech. Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, popularly known as Virginia Tech, is a public land-grant university with a main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia... You can read more about it here: https://www.vt.edu/.

As a Cane fan I was responding to an ACC rival.

Then I guess you hate Moreno, Miller rated better at both catching and blocking than did Moreno. Miller has very good hands, and catches the ball quite well.

Nope don't care for Moreno at all.

As Polian put it, "If you block for 3 yards he will get you 3 yards."

So Miami paid for a offensive lineman in the backfield, not a game breaker or rumbler.

Not sure of ratings and how they come to that but he is better at neither.
