LaMicheal James

Our offense is now run first and fast tempo. But it is also about spacing and getting skill position players in space so they can perform one on one. Getting LaMicheal in space with a linebacker covering him usually results in a big play. I think he cleared waivers because nobody wanted to pay his 2nd round pick high salary. He is not for every offense, but in our new Oregon offense he could produce some big plays. Definetly worth a low risk shot.

He had a tough time carving out carries in that stacked backfield in SF. Also had some injury issues. With that said, I think we should take a look at him given his fit to this offense and potential in the return game. Since no one is chasing him, he may be had on the cheap so there isn't much downside there.

If he got passed Balt something is up, he must not be 100% or something. I wanted to bring him in too but then I realized that we weren't leaning on Danielle Thomas anymore, chuckled and thanked Dolphin jeebus for Knowshon f*cking Moreno.

I'm an Oregon alum, and watched a whole lot of James while he was there. The truth is that James is just not that bright. He clearly has talent, but changing systems from the spread to whatever it is SF runs, a sort of power run play-action game, has not been easy for him to grasp. I think he could step right in with Philly, maybe a bit less so in Miami but still transition. One nice thing is he wouldn't be called on to perform immediately. For some reason he has also developed some fumbling issues. He had a fairly serious elbow injury in college his last year, and I wonder if the strength just isn't the same.

I'd give him a workout, at least see where his mind is about things. I think it was clear last week how much more effective Hyde was in that offense than James, so SF really only loses a kick returner.

Guy quits the team because he is getting no play time.

Lets bring him in so he can also get no play time?

:bobdole: OP.

He was due to make under $650,000 this year. That's not a high salary.

Just run with what we have for now. Draft Gurley next summer, resign Moreno and then Miami looks real solid at running back with a corp of Gurley, Moreno, Miller and Williams.

Artiis-Payne from Auburn would be a better fit for Lazor's offense.

Hyde, Gore, & Kendall Hunter (when healthy) are better fits for the Whiners O.

our linebacker core is the walking wounded right now so unless this kid can play that position i dont think we need him.

Please, stop hating on LaMichael. Yes the SEC is better than the PAC 12, but the PAC 12 is pretty darn good. LaMichael was 1st team all PAC 12 and single handily destroyed Stanford (with Andrew Luck) two years in a row. He is a perfect fit for our offense and has run a sub 4.40 40 time. And we should not be interested in taking a chance on him as a low cost free agent.? You like Darkwa better. As a hard core Dolphins fan since 1974, if you like Darkwa better, then I will start calling you Dorko!

Please stop hating on Darkwa. Yes the SEC is better than the American Athletic Conference, but the AAC is pretty darn good. Tulane Green Waves beat LSU 34-0 (1893). Darkwa had a strong pro day with 40-times in the 4.50 range at 212 pounds. His three-cone time was sub-7.00 and when adjusted for his weight, in the top 30% of all running back prospects since 1999. His vertical and broad jump measurements were both in the top 20%. Overall, Orleans Darkwa had an athleticism score of 63 in the model, above-average and better than all but five drafted running backs in 2014. You like LaMichael better. As a hard core Dolphins fan since 1978, if you like LaMichael better, then I will start calling you Lament!
