Last holdout... headcase???

I love Ronnie Brown as our pick. The only guys I woulda drafted if I were GM in that spot were:Antrel Rolle,Mike Williams,Troy Williamson,Aaron Rodgers,or trade the pick for more. But I love R.B.Especially now Ricky is back. Two blue chip backs plus Travis Minor and my personal fav Kay Jay.

Got a lot of love for Kay Jay. I seriously hope he is kept and not placed on the PS (he'll be picked up by someone else for sure then).

In all my years as a Dolphins fan I have NEVER seen such a glut at RB... what an irony that is... now that we haven't got Dan to throw it, and all he needed ALL THOSE YEARS (besides a defense that didn't fold like the shirt I just bought at the GAP)... was a running back. F***! :shakeno:

inFINS, stop ignoring me, dude! oh, sorry, i forgot - you're one of those that don't know any better. ;) :D

what up, bro?!? man, you happy we took ronnie over cedric or what?!?

i'm all geeked up to see him on the field and in uniform tomorrow!

I'm more thrilled now than I was when we took him...the reports out of camp have me drooling to see this guy on the field.

Me, and the majority of fans on this board knew what kind of RB we got and we all knew what kind of character he had too.

This guy is going to be a good one.

I probably told you this already, but other fans should know (hell, I'll do a poll on this in a minute)... but I actually CHEERED out loud at the sports bar when they announced his name as our pick at #2 overall. THAT was the only time I'd ever done that... that's how sure I was that he was "the pick" for us.

If I'd been old enough then to know what I know now about the game I'd probably have cheered the 27th overall pick of the '83 draft. But that's another story.

EDIT: Nope. Damn, I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but I did cheer when they announced that we picked Sammie Smith and Louis Oliver back in '89 or something. Of course, that draft looked like gold at the moment (and for a little while afterwards, too). Sadly, Sammie didn't have the heart/head/brains to stay with it. He had the talent (when he held onto the ball, that is). As for Louis Oliver... when you look up over-achiever in the dictionary... yeah, that's his picture. Great story for a little while, though.

i was at Shula's Staek II for the draft party....I got interviewed on camera by two seperate repoters and gushed about the pick and the value to be had from a rookie that's going to start from day one.....never saw or heard anyone say they saw me on TV but, it's twue....I swear...

I had Benson pegged as a candy-@$$ on draft day. Absolutely shameless.
then i ask... what are your opinions of Manuel Wright?

I agree.I never wanted him anyway.Ronnie was always my choice for RB.I wouldnt be surprised if Benson has problems with the team even when he does sign which he will.

This solution is so simple. There a RB ahead of him and another just behind him.Just slot him in.

whipped cream? to go with that candy-@$$??? :D

sounds like a bad - errr - movie i rented recently.

seriously, manny is going to be a solid player... going to be. hence, why he went 5th in the supplemental draft.

hey, i also enjoyed hearing your opinions. :)

EDIT: and the candy *** "movie" thing, was a nice touch.

I still think we should have taken Benson. Contract holdouts are nothing new, and Benson is not the first rookie to pull this. In the end they all sign and then it amounts to what can he do on the field. From all I have seen, Benson is a better running back than Brown. Brown can catch, but I liked Benson better. I am not down on Ronnie and I am glad he is a Fin.
