Not sure the forward pass would have gotten overturned. It is where the ball is when it leaves his hand not where his feet are. It was pretty close although I believe if it was ruled a forward pass I don't think they could have overturned it either. JMO

They definitely could have overturned it. The question is if they would have. And you might as well flip a coin for the answer to that.

that's a great point, was Ben beyond the line of scrimmage?

That's why I hate NFL, its because the league controls the outcome of the game.

How many of you felt we lost the game, trusting the refs?

I swear, I wish we would bring the replacement refs back. This years NFL refs sucks.

I didn't get to see the game so this is the only angle I've seen (another poster mentioned an aerial view) but I could see the play standing from that clip. With a lateral you have to take into account where the ball leaves his hand, not where the QB is. You'll notice he swings his arm forward, but it looks like the ball is let go a bit past the apex of the swing. Add that to the fact that he is falling forward a bit, I could see the ball POSSIBLY leaving his hand closer to the 13 than a lot of people are saying.

Whole lot of garbage on that play...the Rooneys must pay the league more than the Krafts

Brown is moving forward the whole time. It was a forward pass.

Beyond the line of scrimmage at what point? His initial pass was forward then when he tossed it to Brown, of course he was past the LOS.

That Roethlisberger "forward pass" was hardly definitive. Thank goodness for the sideline.
