Looks like no Law in South Beach..

610 Sports Radio in Kansas City reports that Ty Law has agreed in principle to terms with the Chiefs, pending a physical.
Kansas City's 610 Sports reporter Rhonda Moss reports the deal is finalized, but Law appeared on another Kansas City station just yesterday saying the Chiefs were only one option. Don't consider this a done deal yet, but it looks likely that Law will sign with the Chiefs or Jets shortly. Jul. 15 - 11:24 am et

EDIT: Just realised it said he finalized with the Chiefs but he's close with the Jets too?

wow that would be an awesome tandem of law and surtain!!! That is really scary. Their defense could be really good this year.

I really don't understand on why he would sign with the Cheifs. But if this is ture, then the Cheifs could have one of the best CB duo (Surtain and Law) in the NFL.

If he does sign with the Chiefs, Surtain and Law (if healthy) is quite a duo at Cornerback

EDIT: Nevermind, the 2 posters in front of me already pointed that out.

cheifs are going for it in Vermiels last year... good luck to them.

The Jets really missed out if this is a done deal. Abraham gone and then not getting Law.

Why wouldn't he??

They will contend for the SB this year, sepecially if he signs with them. Their offense has been scary for years (with no signs of slowing down) and their defense has gotten a major upgrade this offseason.

They may have slumped last year, but were a 12-14 win team before that, w/ less talent on D then they have now.

Jets | Law Must Lower Price?
Fri, 15 Jul 2005 06:37:06 -0700

Updating previous reports, Newsday's Ken Berger reports free agent CB Ty Law (Patriots) must lower his asking price for the New York Jets to give any consideration to signing him, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

I just made a topic in the Beast of the East forum about the Jets CB problems... I thought we had it bad, they have nobody hurt yet and have 1 marginal starter(Barrett) and Ray Mickens (you have to be kidding me) maybe starting next year. Can't wait....

I think thats the main reason they went after Law...I'm sure they could plug either of them in as the third CB.
