Lay off Fasano.

Iv'e said this many times and I really mean it but Zach Miller should have been our #1 priority this off season. He would have added a huge dimension to our offense down the seam that we need desperately. Fasano is a guy that's barely good enough to be a starter, Miller nd a guard like Gallery would have made us a MUCH better team right now... But no, we get Columbo nd Burnett... Awesome.

Fasano is terrible. I think almost every team in the NFL is better at TE then what we are. Hell the Pasties drafted two Tes in one draft that are better then Fasano. What I wouldnt give to have A. Hernandez as our #1 TE and Fasano as an inline blocker only. One franchise gets it, one doesnt.

We should've traded up nd drafted DJ Williams in the 4th, he's a clone of Hernandez physically nd it would not have cost much to trade up there... Ugh I'll never ****in know with these people. Hopefully a Clay or Brackett plays well as a receiving TE for us this year but who ****in knows.

I'm sure Fasano feels he should have caught it, and the standard line is that if you can get your hands on it you should catch it. Fine. But it was thrown to the back shoulder of a guy running the other way, not in his numbers as people keep saying. For those that say how smart Henne was not to throw it where he could cleanly catch it, because there was a lb coming in, OK, then why are you throwing it there at all? If he could unlock off of his 1 target and actually survey the field, he might find a better option. Best case, he completes the pass, Fasano gets clocked, and we gain what, 4-5 yards. That's best case. Yawn.
Matt Moore's int, othoh, was downfield, again more the receiver's fault, but essentially a punt when the worst case happened. And best case? Big gain, possibly even TD.

Yes, Fasano should've caught it. But it would have been a tough catch based on where it was thrown, and the poor decision-making is probably more relevant than the actual throw.

He is a good blocker but average receiving tight end. And the way he tries to hurdle defenders is laughable

The problem with Fasano is that we're supposed to believe he's on the roster "because he can block", but he was one of the reasons two of our running plays were blown up, from his missed blocking assignments.

If he can't catch, can't block, can't hold onto the ball, then what good is he?

It's all about perspective. People will view things and adjust their opinion based on their agenda, so take it all with a grain of salt. If Chad Pennington throws that same pass to Ted Ginn Jr. and the same result happens who do you think would get blamed?

Fasano and Henne both suck. Fasano can't catch or block, and Henne can't avoid throwing interceptions. I wish we would have replaced both of them this year.

not quite sure what you are getting at.

If I threw the ball at Fasano, Ted Ginn, or Jerry Freakin Rice and they are squared up and the ball hits them right in the hands, and bounces off them.....

The "agenda" is...... said receiver is at fault.

Yes, but some people view that pass as Henne's fault, based on agenda only. Cause I know damn well I saw that same play happen to Ginn and nobody blamed the quarterback.

Yes, the same play happens over and over again. I remember a Henne int thrown to Bess last year that looked just like it. Thrown to the wrong shoulder as the receiver is moving the opposite direction.

The ball never hit Fasano in the chest or "right between the numbers" because it hit both hands. Anyone that disagrees with that hasn't even seen the play, has an agenda or both. In the replay Fasano's head hand and body were facing the opposite sideline to which he was running when he touched the ball. Could a top 5 TE/WR catch that? I'm sure its not out of the realm of possibility.

So ted ginn shouldn't ever catch any flak

LOL better than a top 5 WR/TE can catch that. Most PS guys would or UDFA

Yep, Fasano ****ed that play up royally.

I still like the guy as our TE.
