Never liked what Baldinger had to say. He always seems to be running down the Dolphins, but in this article he says Lazor is going to have a big impact. Does he know what he is talking about? Don't know but good read any way.

“I think you’re going to be really surprised by Bill. Literally just like his name implies, he’s razor-sharp, just laser-focused,” said Baldinger. “I think you could see it up-tempo. I think you could see a condensing of the playbook. I think you’re going to see at times a wide open attack to spread the field to run the ball. I think he’s going to bring an awful lot.”

Baldinger thinks that Lazor’s similar style to Kelly will inject new life into an offense that, at times, showed how deadly it could be with its big play ability.

“I think he has his own ideas, but you can’t help it, even if it’s one year with Chip Kelly, I don’t care who you are. You can’t help but be influenced by what that guy does and how he coaches, and I think it’s going to be a real breath of fresh air,” said Baldinger. “I think it’s going to be like almost mind opening to any Dolphin fan, to the league, and AFC East of what I think this guy can bring to the table.”

He also talks about Tannehill and the playoffs:

If the offensive line can get it together, that will create plenty of opportunities for 3rd year quarterback Ryan Tannehill to shine, something that Baldinger thinks needs to happen this year. His expectations are high, but warranted given the talent that he and the players around him possess.

“Playoffs. It’s all about going to the playoffs. They had a great chance last year and they folded down the stretch in the last two games. The jury’s out. I like Ryan Tannehill a whole lot but eventually, your quarterback has to win for you,” said Baldinger.

“You have to make the plays and make the throws and you got to win games. Ryan knows that, and it’s that time now. I don’t care what the Jets have done, what Buffalo’s doing or even who the Patriots are, it’s time for the Miami Dolphins to get to the playoffs.”

Thanks for posting bro. Baldy is no dummy and rightfully so what have the Dolphins as a team done to help take the negative media away from the front lines? Losing the last two games and missing the playoffs was a huge negative for the organization. Philbin's job should be on the line from the get go this year.

I can't wait to see what the offense looks like this year. After going through coordinators like Sherman and Henning its going to be nice having a young and innovative guy. From what i've read about his offense at virginia tech, and from what i've seen of it on youtube its going to be the most impactful move of the offseason. No more tipping off the snap count, we'll finally move guys around to create mismatches, and im hoping Lazor uses Tannehills athleticism to his advantage (moving pockets, read option occasionally, etc). Ryan can and SHOULD make a big leap this year, because the training wheels have been taken off. I'm really hoping Lazor does bring some up that uptempo Chip Kelly style offense because i've been waiting for it ever since Philbin's opening press conference when he mentioned that's what the phins would be doing......obviously Sherman didn't get the memo.

From what i've read about his offense at virginia tech, ....

It was at Virginia, The University of Virginia, UVa ... NOT Virginia Tech. Cardinal sin to mix up the two. FYI, I wouldn't recommend confusing Alabama and Auburn either. We fans get touchy. :-)

Wish we could fire Philbin and hire Lazor as HC. I know Lazor hasn't done anything to warrant a HC gig but he seems to have his stuff together, is young, and appears to have a clear vision as well as leadership qualities. All stuff Philbin has struggled with. We all know if we have success Lazor will get hired as a HC on another team leaving Philbin here in Miami and us going back to our losing ways. Just my opinion of course.

Matt. That may well happen, but it would be on the back of Lazor getting top quality play from Tannehill, which would surely attract a good OC.

How about we wait until the season has started before we fire the HC and replace him with the OC...Just a thought.

What I think is that if this offense succeeds, Philbin will be the luckiest b*stard in the NFL, because Lazor, Benton and Hickey will have saved his behind.

If we're able to run an uptempo offense in the Miami heat and humidity opposing defenses will melt by the third quarter. And as we've seen from the Eagles, on the road its also a good way to take the opposing teams fans out of the picture. Up-tempo is the key to winning 11 or 12 games imo and for every addition I make as a coach/GM my first question would be is he a good fit for up-tempo?

I believe when the picture was made it was Reggie Bush. The picture was a fan made prototype for new uniforms. What you can't see (pic too small) is that i photoshopped Diesel onto the back of the jersey.
