Le Batard: Dolphins are boring and irrelevant without Manning

He as usual is right.

We are going to have 25k season tickets next year if Moore starts.

The Heat are going to be in Finals mode and the Marlins playoff run will take any attention away...

The Dolphins have been boring past 3 years...

While I actually think Flynn will be a better choice in the long run from a wins and losses standpoint, even I cannot ignore how Peyton would mean much more in re-establishing the Dolphins as a fun and interesting team, while flooding the team with money and giving the rest of the league the knowledge that we once again have the ability to lure a top free agent. Getting him would be a huge step in the right direction for the team.

Going to be a VERY interesting week. Here's hoping the Dolphins don't bungle yet another decision up.

Dolphins want to become relevant in Miami and have the best chance to win now, they'll bring in Manning whatever it takes, simple as that.

That we have have the best chance to win now among the suitors is of epic mythical proportions. Arizona, KC and Seattle have just as good a chance with peyton to win now and so does possibly Denver. Never has a team that hasnt had a winning season in three years been so highly regarded by some sportswriters. Hey I hope they are right but I personally think a team that talented would have much better results.

Lebatard is also irrelevant and boring without the Dolphins

&

Does he follow BRANDON FREAKIN MARSHALL - we still have our ****s and giggles

Yeah, but hes not. Id argue that right now Lebatard is more relevant than the Dolphins.

true you never know when Brandon will be arrested for fighting with women, stabbed or be in a ruckus that gets another person killed .

That's why Stephen Ross will sign him he knows the fan base is on decline and that Peyton would fill in the seats and get people to watch the games/bandwagon fans/views. He's a billionaire an I'm sure he cares about profit and will be smart about it. Imagine the TV ratings/hits when he plays against Brady and if it ever happens, a Manning vs Manning game.

Didn't read the article yet but its pretty depressing watching the mocks on NFL Network, everybody pretty much just inserts the safest cornfed at number 8 for Miami and quickly moves on. I'm sure they're right and if we do get Manning its probably the best option buts its still depressing none the less.

I would expect the house that JLo built to be at least half full if Dolphins get Manning.

Completely understandable for Ross to be all in. Imagine how rocking the night club will be from the 2nd qtr on?

so manning comes in for two years and were relevant.

he retires, is injured or converts to quakerism within 2-3 years and then were right back to being irelevant?

then the question MUST be asked, is all this time, money and disruption worth it for a couple of iffy manning years?

i dont think so. and i dont think the finz brass do either. everyone is under the impression that miami wants him in the worst way and that boss ross and his boy wonder are dragging their feet and fuging the whole thing up.

or, maybe they know [as they should] that we are NOT a qb away from the bowl and taking a 60 million dollar risk on and old, injured peyton AND paying his aged band of merrymen is to much of a risk for this team and the brass's reputations should it fail to to pan out. that they were NEVER going after peyton and the owner not chasing peytons plane around is not a sign of ineptness but a sign that they are not interested in signing manning at all and never were!!

and thats the smart play. we need to build around this young, promising teams future and not throw it away on an extremely risky shot at some instant gratification. flynn is just as big a risk as he will cost a MAJOR bundle, expecially after luck, rg3 and peyton are gone. to big a risk for WAY to much money.

the cards have fallen where they have. the SMART play for this team, right now is to draft tannehill and let him come in and learn the philbin way from the ground up with matt moore. both of them get into camp at the start of this new regime and learn. and the best qb will win the job. moore is a MUCH better qb than most want to believe, he has been the victim of odd circumstances with crumbling teams and number games, not his play. with the solid experiance he has had with the starters, a full camp, reps with the starters in camp and he will suprise, big time. but tannehill IS a big time talent and in a year to two years, he could really be a force.

and that leaves us in a GREAT position with low investment and HI reward potential!!!

what if peyton didnt get released by the colts? we are no worse off or more "irelevant" than before. we had this great buzz and excitement happening not long ago with the new staff and the way the brass handled the the whole ordeal, life was good! the future was bright! now, if peyton doesnt sign, were doomed and ross and ireland are absolute complete idiots and fugged the whole thing up!!

help yourselves out. read a book or watch tv or surf you-tube for a few days. let this manning thing shake out how its going to and get off the up and down minute by minute rollercoaster. get your thoughts back on this good looking staff and the solid, productive scheme they will be installing [unless manning actually signs with us] and get back on board the philbin happy train!!

these anti miami writers and those who run the nfl/tv revenue and ratings are trying hard to make miami look like the worst decision in the world for peyton and its winding up and bumming out the fans. put it out of your mind and then worry about it, or cheer for it when and if it happens.

Or you could be sitting in a freezing stadium full of drunk losers watching the second coming of Joey Harrington and his new three year extension.

What football stadium doesn't have drunk losers? Only difference is ours are watching and cheering for a playoff contender while yours are dancing to to the latest JLo beat in the night club.

The Jets ****ing blow dude. Enjoy watching us go head up with Tom Brady for division titles the next few years while you guys battle it out with Buffalo for the cellar. Who are you guys going to hire as HC in 2 years when Rex gets fired? Your OC is Tony Sparano.

And oh yea, Revis will get abused even more by Brandon Marshall when he has a top notch QB like Manning throwing to him.

Let me know what week you guys are ready to bench Sanchez this year in favor of Chad Henne. Maybe I can come over and read some of TGG when you have that guy that looks like Curly from the 3 stooges over there trying to convince you that Henne is a top 15 NFL QB.
