Taken a contract? Did you read the story? It says he was told an offer was coming and then never received it.
 
stupid word apologist, stop using it... no one thinks ireland is great they just hope to god theres a chance in hell that he won't completely destroy the 2% of pride the fan base has left. He probably will but even though 90% of us have turned to the dark side, let them pray and hope its going to be ok. No need to tear them down.
 
A GM lied to a player/agent? I had no idea these things took place. Next you are going to tell me that a player/agent would lie to a GM. I can't believe this, what is the world coming to.

I want Ireland gone as much as the next guy but this is just getting ridiculous. Alex Smith saying that ireland lied to him? Cry me an f'ing river...this is the NFL and millions of dollars are at stake. Ireland needs to be looking out for what is best for this franchise, if that involves lying to a perennial journeyman, draft bust QB then so be it. Le Batard wanted in on the Ireland bashing so found a second rate excuse to conform to what the "cool" journalists were doing. Embarassing.
