League Sources: Daboll Favorite For Dolphins Job

I highly doubt McDaniel would be able to assemble a good staff of assistants on both sides of the ball. I also question his ability to lead a locker room of NFL players. as a head coach.
I was worried you would not find anything to doubt.

I must have been mistaken, since I'm never wrong - LOL

Need to lock Daboll down now, Quinn dropping out changes things completely and we can't be left with the scraps, like we were I think when we hired Philbin.
Exactly because the Giants might want to hire him now as well with Quinn going back to Dallas.

That's why blanket statements, "hiring another coordinator who has never been a head coach", or "hire another failed HC", or "hire a hotshot college coach with no NFL experience" are stupid things to say. Reality is that 31 of 32 teams fail every season. If someone wants to be the guy who b*tches about every thing and predicts everything will fail so they can say they were right, they can. But they don't add anything to the conversation other than negativity. IMO those kinds of fans are the worst thing about sports.
Last three full-time hires for the Miami Dolphins - coordinators who had never been head coaches at any level of football.

If the rumors are true, Daboll will be the 4th consecutive hire with a resume lacking head coaching experience.

The point isn’t that individuals like McVay, Kyle Shanahan, etc. don’t exist. The point is that the Dolphins are batting 0.000% in finding someone like McVay, Kyle Shananh, etc.

It would be nice if they would try something different this time.

But fans who think like this are “the worst thing about sports.”

Not buying these random twitters about Daboll who the hell is Jason Sarney?
Not a big name guy by any means. He runs PhinManiacs. Has had Jay Fiedler on his show breaking down film on Tua. Also had OJ McDuffie on, etc.

Doesn't mean they can't finally hit on someone. Actually Flores wasn't a bad hire but he couldn't hire an offensive staff to save his life and his ego ended up being is undoing. There is no guarantee of hiring a retread would work either. It's all a crapshoot.

Yeah, that's my feeling too. That's why I like McDaniel. If, as you say, the system is very QB-friendly, then the offense should be more productive and make everyone look good. Players that look good get more money. More money makes players happy. Miami Dolphin players that are happy, productive, and winning make me happy. Everybody happy.
I'm ready for a super bowl championship. In fact multiple applies as well.

If SF can get there with Garappalo, I think Tua's ceiling is higher.

If Daboll is the guy, then what is Ross waiting on? You don't wait on a head coach to assemble a staff as a prerequisite to the hire. Couple other things...(being I am not allowed to make my own post) What is Marino's role in the front office??? Shaking hands and kissing babies??? If firing Flo was all about him not being on the Tua train...then who actually made the pick? There had to be hard conversations on Tua vs. Herbert.

Ross either is waiting on Daboll to assemble a staff...or there is still a Harbaugh possibility....or there is still someone to interview in the final 4 teams in the playoffs. Then I think if Harbaugh was really serious about returning to the NFL then he would have already resigned as the Michigan coach. The he is instantly marketable and Ross is making a move on a candidate without a job...he's off the hook for stealing Harbaugh from Michigan...technically. IMO Harbaugh is going nowhere. This whole coaching situation is such a cluster-you-know-what.
