Funny read:

Darrelle Revis doesn't just shut down receivers. He shuts down radio hosts, too.Revis, at the suggestion of a Jets public relations staffer, hung up on WFAN's Mike Francesaafter the host asked question after question about the cornerback's controversial 100-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.
During the interview, Francesa insisted that Revis should have been flagged for interference on the play. Revis vehemently disagreed.
"Do you know football or are you good at interviewing?" Revis asked Francesa.
The two went back and forth for about four minutes, with Francesa laughing at an increasingly frustrated Revis."You are still the only one in the world who doesn't think that was a penalty," Francesa said.
"I don't care! I don't care what everybody thinks! I don't care what you think!" Revis said.
Revis was eventually told by Jared Winley, a member of the Jets' PR staff, to hang up the phone, ending the interview with Francesa, who has a strained relationship with the Jets.
"This is why nobody wants to get interviewed by him," the cornerback can be heard saying before he hangs up.
Francesa was upset that Winley instructed Revis to hang up the phone.
Winley later called Francesa's producer to apologize and said he should have asked Francesa to move on to another topic.
"That was an error on my part," Winley said.
WFAN said in a statement that Francesa accepted the apology.

LOL Revis got so pissed about that question. Why, if the play was legal?

Marshall was mugged but even the officials are rooting for the Dolphins to land Luck

Everybody and their mother knows that was an obvious defensive pass interference play, yet the blind refs still managed not to see it. I've come to expect poor refereeing from this league. Calls never seem to go Miami's way either. I'm used to that, along with the ball never bouncing our way either. It seems many times other teams literally have the ball bounce right into their hands, but it Miami never seems to be that lucky.

Plays like the Revis interception should be challengeable. Coaches should have the ability to say that their receiver was interfered with and challenge it. It's obvious the refs can't get it right, so somebody has to be able to get the correct call on the field.

Thing is, Francesa dropped the subject and moved on to other things after a minute or so of the interview and Revis brought it back up several minutes later. Can't really fault Francesa on this.

Furthermore, what Francesa said was absolutely true. It was an illegal tactic that Revis got away with. I love how Revis tries to spin it by claiming that a flag wasn't thrown so it was a clean play. Sure. So the next time we see a defender jump offside or an offensive lineman false start but a flag isn't thrown, I guess it really didn't happen. Nice logic.

Oh, and lastly, Revis goes to the "you've never set foot on an NFL field so you don't know what you are talking about" card. Brilliant. But as Francesa correctly pointed out, Coach Gruden and Ron Jaworski thought it should have drawn a flag ..... and they have stepped on to an NFL field ... more than once.

Game, set and match ... Mike Francesa.

I wonder if Revis ever cheats on his GF or wife and it gets back to her if he'll say "you didn't catch me in the act so I didn't really cheat or commit adultery. It was a clean play on my part".

Gotta love Gang Green.

If it was pass interference it would have been on marshall, who stumbled into revis. If you think otherwise, you didnt see it or dont understand the rules of the game, and are just going by what the announcer said during the game.

It was a good no call on Marshall because his contact was incidental, had there been a flag, the jets would have declined anyways.......everyone is just going off of what ron jaworski was blabbing about, and thats frighteningly sad.....yall need to learn a few things i guess.

It was incidental until Revis grabbed and pulled his jersey. I understand why the refs didn't call it, but a DB can't grab a jersey like that even if the guy is falling towards him.

Post like that really kill me. You say people don't understand the rules of the game, then claim Marhsall is the one who should have been penalized. Marshall didn't stumble until Revis grabbed and pulled his jersey. Even if Marshal did stumble into Revis do you think that gives Revis the right to grab and pull his Jersey? If you want to claim both are guilty of a penalty, whatever. But to claim that Revis did not commit a penalty is ridiculous.

damn nice post. hard to dispute, not sure if I don't understand the rules of the game or not. how this can be put on marshall is absurd.
