Les Brown the most pathetic blocker of all time.

He will defintley be one of the guys not making the roster. Especially if he keeps that up. He was on the ground one too many times. He has the heart as you saw him ask the coach if he can go again, but when his chance came up again he was once again on the ground on a different move.

The defense seems to be one step ahead of this guy and if he doesnt catch up, he's going to get axed pretty soon.

Coming off the street you shouldn't be on an NFL roster. That's the point. Whether he's giving it his all or not, he's obviously not good enough.

Shhhhh... Don't tell Dick Vermeil

Thanks,

Vince Papale

that was brutal to watch! but his girl saved the day

Were people expecting this guy to look like Vernon Davis on day one?

Ya, that's it.

C'mon .... he's not completely new to football, he played in high school. The issue is how poor his blocking really was in light of that. He looked like a guy who had never blocked in a game ever and for a guy who put on as much muscle as he supposedly did, I saw absolutely no power whatsoever.

He played WR in high school. TE is a completely new position for him.

if they don't cut him early they want to get him on the p squad...if he makes it thru a round or two of cuts thats got to be the plan...i can't wait til they show michael egnew in blocking drills ha ha
HBO might just be showing a lot of his failures to make him look worse than he is that way when he makes the PS they have their story.

He just doesn't seem to have the size to be a TE. Why not try him at WR?

EXACTLY! Why this obsession to turn him into a TE. Why not make him a WR? Wasn't the late B MARSHALL 6'4"/230ish? So, what we have in BROWN is someone who is 1/2" taller, 8 lbs heavier, w/a "vertical" that MARSHALL can't touch, and a "forty" time that MARSHALL never even dreamed of. So WHY NOT A WR? I'll bet that THAT would be what BELLICHEK would try first!

ehhh...maybe...kinda doubt it though considering what his position coach had to say about him in the meeting...

P.S.: And if MIAMI does try to put him on the P/S, I'll bet N.E. "poaches" him, unless someone else does!

Like Clyde Gates, this kid will need time. You can't teach Gates' speed, and you can't teach 6-4, 240 lbs running a 4.43 I'm wondering if so much focus was on him because it will make for good TV and one hell of a story if he shows marked improvement as camp goes on. Maybe they've focused on his blocking crapitude in the first episode for that reason, to show a long shot that you want to root for struggling mightily and he ends up making a real go if it as pre season rolls on. And that's pure speculation on my part.

Anyway, here's Brown ripping off his 4.43 40 at the BYU pro day:

Well with all the publicity stunts goiing on around the team I wouldn't put it pass the team/HBO to stage something to increase viewers.

no ones poaching him unless he looks markedly better as a blocker in the preseason games...if guys are going thru him like a hot knife thru butter and beheading our qbs thru his gap no ones putting that kid on their 53 any time soon...i mean i rewatched the episode and #57 who i think is kaddu a lean tall lb not former 34 olb not de was killing him in one on one blocking drills...he's got to at least be able to hold guys up to see the field...no coach is gonna trust that guy if he doesn't look a hell of a lot better

but at least he's not giving up...have to like that

yeah you never know...they definitely want to generate ratings and buzz...so could be...looks to me they are already trying to stir the qb spot with the way that episode kinda came to a close and how the narrator said "peoples choice nothing...if tannehill keeps it up he'll be the coaches choice"...i know i loved hearing that
