Les Brown, who starred at BYU Pro Day, signs with Dolphins

That is a quality signing regardless of what happens to the kid. Even though you have been $hitting the bed recently Ireland.....you get an atta boy for this one.

I wish him luck. It's a big jump and the odds are against him but he has an opportunity which is all that he can ask for.

Nice signing! Hope this kid turns out to be a beast, and if he doesn't oh we'll it's not like we wasted a draft pick on him.

Love this signing. He's been out of football for a bit and might be raw, but he definitely have size/speed/athletic ability to work with.....and with this horrible TE draft class, it doesn't hurt to already have 1 in the pocket so they don't feel inclined to reach on one with better players on the board. I wouldn't mind taking another project at TE either, the Taylor Thompson kid from SMU. He's bigger (6'6, 260) so he could help with blocking as well, but still really athletic for his size.

Good Job GM. When this guys ankle heals his physical skills will improve more and now that he is signed he can come into OTAs and workouts like a professional. the good thing is we know he has good hands and can catch. Tony Gonzalez was a power forward basketball in College and Gates I think played small or power forward too. Basketball players who have played football I think can more easily transition to the NFL. I think we found out seam TE and good special teams player. A TE who runs 4.4 down the field on punts and kickoffs can really help.

Could be nothing. But at least he has the tools to work with. Im sure his blocking will be pretty raw and will need ALOT of work with that. But if he could at least become a receiving threat, with him Clay and Fasano that could make a nice trio.

Dude has a lot potential. Low-risk, high reward move.

who knows cant hurt to look at him although most likely will be a nothing signing but maybe he develops as a footvall player, was good in high school.
Not a great signing and really cant be a bad signing unless he signed a bigger contract which is doubtful. I do think many will overrate this signing because of a damn pro day.
even with the pro day it would seem no team went wild and paid him some special money to be their player but i hope for best

He has the measurables: 6'4" 238, 4.43 in the 40, 39" vertical jump, 10'3" broad jump, 19 reps on the bench press. Will be pretty raw but maybe would be a practice squad candidate, Would hate to give up early on a guy like him. Put him on the practice squad if he shows some things in pre-season. Let him grow and learn for a season.

Brown also showed good hands when catching passes at his pro day
