Let me ask you guys this......

Well if Tannehill doesn't breakout we don't make the playoffs

THIS^^^^ i WAS THINKING how can you breakout and not make the playoffs , When you have a great QB everyone else is better wheather they are or not , it makes them look better.

You kidding, right? How many epic seasons did Marino have and we failed to make the playoffs

hey bud i was from the Marino days Marino broke out as a rookie ,the situation were in is diffrent ,we never had a RB BACK THEN ,BUT HERE IN THE FUTURE our QB hasnt broke out , the situation were in NOW were pretty good in all possions BUT QB or atleast with above QB play we make the playoffs , NO IM NOT KIDDING.

We don't have a running back now. Moreno has played only 5 quarters and are you really sold on Miller??! Not yet.
And our current WRs are inferior to Clayton and Duper
And Bruce Hardy, Joe Rose, Keith Jackson are better than any TE we have on this roster. So yeah.....very possible

Let me ask you guys this. Who hates Tannehill the most. WV or Omar? Or has it been established that they're not the same person?

They aren't the same person. I met WV at a WSOP qualifying tournament a few years back.

Neither one is really a good option, because Tannehill is not the future of this team, and a one and done playoff appearance would do nothing but prolong the inevitable house cleaning that needs to occur. The sooner we get things back on the right track the better.

Gun to head…probably the Tannehill breakout season, because it would mean that by some miracle the lightbulb finally went on for him and we could move forward, but realistically there is virtually no chance of that happening. I'd love to see it though.

I think we'd all agree to take the Tannehill breakout year and emergence as a franchise QB over some lucky crawl into the playoffs. I'd take a 1-15 year if it meant we'd found a real QB. But this is all just hypothetical because it seems unlikely Tannehill has that in him.

Can we not have Thill have a breakout season and we make the playoffs and play hard but get outcoached and that leads to Philbin being replaced next year? That's my preferred choice, outside of Tanny busting out and us winning the whole enchilada of course.

You didn't pay attention to Omar the past offseason did you? He had flipped, suddenly LOVED Tannehill. Hopefully not the kids if death.

Man, it's hard to make the choice. I'd love for Ryan "To get it" finally and send us to the playoffs. And one playoff win is only a crack hit, really nice at the time, but likely leads to disaster.
I'm unsure if Tannehill is the guy, I believe our only hold up is the head coach, who has numerous issues that likely cannot be fixed because he is who he is. I believe, until something happens, that Hickey is our GM for a while.
If it's true that Joe and Ryan are married, then I have no idea how this will work out. I'm hoping that Ryan and the team adjust to the new offence with great effectiveness. Winning fixes everything.

That's a bizarre combo and hypothetical, given that we are already 1/4 into the season. For Tannehill to have a so-called breakout year he's going to have to be so terrific statistically the remainder of the season to overcome his slow start that I don't see how it wouldn't drag us into the playoffs.

Right now he's roughly at 5.8 yards per attempt. I would define breakout as at least 7.5

I'm going to pick the playoff berth because I don't see how we get there at this point unless Tannehill plays well. Otherwise something would have to be fantastic, like our running game and/or defense. We need greatness somewhere, whether it's a unit or the emergence of certain players.

Seems like this is a more logical hypothetical for the spring than 1/4 through the season. You are forcing me to weigh known variables instead of starting clean.

Haha, you know that means Joe staying put for at least another year?

Making the playoffs and Tannehill struggling seems like a pretty ****ty situation...

Yes the team makes the playoffs....woohoo, but if Tannehill is not the guy then it puts them in a position where they are once again on the outside looking in when it comes to drafting a franchise QB....

Give me Tannahill breaking out and figuring out that we have "our guy" and build around that.

I think VW has an app on his phone that instantly alerts him to any Tannehill threads! He then seamlessly slides in and says, "start Matt Moore!!" I'll tell you one thing, he doesn't flip flop!!

Oh, WV flip flops. WV flip flop real well.
