Let's Blame Wannstedt

Why should we blame wanny when he did the best that he could after the team fell apart. it all started with pot smoking ricky failing the drug test

"The best he could" SUCKED!!! He was the coach, it was his fault the team fell apart. No leadership, No dicsipline, No good gameplans... Everything that was his responsability was falling apart year after year until it came to a head when Ricky retired and that proved his inability to change. He just stuck to his boring *** stuburn way of doing things. A good coach would have used more screens when blitzed constatly, go to a short timing west coast style offense to avoid and take advantage of the blitz, but not wanny let's just pound the ball up the middle of our make shift line on 1st and 2nd down then on third a long lets empty the back feild and let our qb's get killed BRILLIANT!!! Wanny is an idiot, what team has he coached that has been good? every team he has been with has gone downhill....He was a terrible decision by Wayne and hopefully we will never see football that bad in south florida again.....:fire:

If you are going to blame anyone blame JJ for starting the ball rolling the wrong way, and for ending Dan's career a year or two early, and for bringing Wanny in....but I am looking forward to this year....can't change the past.....Hopefully the Saban era will bring us a SB. :)

I have chosen to disreguard everything that has happened from the day Shula retired to the day Saban was hired, sort of like selective amnesia. Hopefully the nightmare is over and things will be getting better from here on in.........

Wow, that's a lot of time disreguarded. :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

i blamed wannestedt for everything... i yelled at the screen and i swear he mustve heard me cuz he ran his hand through his hair and twitched his mustache a bit, maybe trying to comprehend what was happening and what to do, or perhaps wondering what he had for dinner last night and why he has bad breath...

As much as I hated Wanny and his coaching . Wanny was not at fault. The blame is Rickys alone. Good players want the ball. Evidently Ricky could not have been all of that if he did not want the ball as much. So lets just blame it on Ricky and his bad habits.

He's the one that overworked Williams and forced him to carry the rock over and over into a brick wall.

Actually Ricky had full permission to pull himself out whenever he wanted. It was his choice to stay in. Remember there were a couple odd times that Ricky would be out for a series it was because he pulled himself out.

I have an idea how we all can deal with our feelings towards Rickey Williams. I was as mad as anybody when he quit on the team last year but he is back now and apparently ready to play to the best of his ability so let's just blame last years' nightmare on Wannstedt. He's the one that overworked Williams and forced him to carry the rock over and over into a brick wall. He's the one who wasn't inventive enough to change the offense when his scheme wasn't working. Rickey is a Miami Dolphin again so let's root for him to be successful and help this team win games. Let's give Rickey a pass and double our hatred for the imbecile known as Wannstedt! I'm convinced we will be a very good team this year so let's get behind all of the players 100%.

Let me see.... NOpe, DW is his own person, bad coach or decent coach...

I will root for JT, Zack, and other teammates that did not quit on this Team last year, and not for the weassle that could not face his team, if he would have been suspended by the NFL last year. RW did take the easy way out, he was not with this team when they were 0-6, or 2-11, and face the media and fan pressure his soon-again team mates did.

I guess If more of the team's best players would have quit, I would have blame Dave... But...

I give the blame to the one who quit...

I'm not happy that Ricky walked out, but then again, it wouldn't have mattered if he'd played. Last year's team was so inept in so many ways, that having Ricky probably would have meant 5 wins instead of 4. Whoopy-f'in-do.

From my perspective, Ricky, if anything, did us all a favor by helping accelerate the demise of Dave Dumbstedt. Heck, maybe Ricky "Crazy Like a Fox" Williams even planned it that way. Who knows... maybe he was in collusion with Saban the whole time.

At any rate, I don't care... it's a new year, and if Ricky shows up, plays, and helps the team win, I'll be his biggest fan.

Better yet why not move on and stop blaming altogether. There's a reason blame rhymes with lame.

Ricky had a chance to return to the Dolphins last year, when his agent worked out a deal with the NFL, and he would have completed his 4 games suspension. Dave was already gone, but Ricky turned it down...

One question...

If Dave was gone in November, why did Ricky still stay away?
