Lets say Philbin is fired at seasons end...

Dan Reeves, pass, too old

Billick, pass, too much of a db

Gruden, eh, I'd be ok with it.
 
I would hire Dan Quinn as HC. He has paid his dues, is coming into his prime, and is defensive oriented.
I would keep Lazor and look for a different DC that can utilize our current players.

Not sold on Gurley. Anyone who would risk their college career to sign a few autograph's for a few bucks is not very smart.

You don't need to be smart to be a RB. See hole, run through hole. Doesn't take a brain surgeon there.
 
Said it before...let Hickey and Lazor have two years...and if they don't make the playoffs...blow it up.

Guess you're not sold on AP either. He's not the smartest guy, just the best RB in the league. There is obviously no intelligence standard to post on this board.
 
Give Harbaugh whatever he wants, period. If he wants his own personnel guy, fine. If he wants his own GM, fine. If he wants $10M per year, fine. Just do whatever it takes to get him.

Enough of the talk about guys like Dan Quinn. No. I don't want the next up-and-coming coordinator with no head coaching experience. I want someone who has had success in this league. I want someone who has had success working with QBs.

Let Philbin finish the season. At this point, it doesn't matter. The Dolphins will not make the playoffs this year. Fire him before he gives his post-game address after Week 17. And make it known immediately that the next head coach will not be forced to work with anyone who is currently a part of the franchise (outside of Ross). If they want Hickey, fine. If they want Benton, great.
 
joey porter and im dead serious. philbin is the dumbest most irrelevant coach in the history of football. he brings absolutely nothing to the table other than picking up garbage in the team facility. porter will get guys fired up and motivated and the coordinators can do the rest.
 
Ross. Higgins. Aponte. Tannenbaum. It's dysfunction of the highest order. That's where it's rotten. This is textbook on how not to run an organization. Like everything you can do wrong, all in one place. In-fighting. Personnel dept not agreeing with coaches. Hiring a coach alone stuck with Ireland which limited the pool. Literally not learning anything and then hiring a gm while sticking them with that befuddled bald **** as a coach, which limited the gm pool. Seriously, making that mistake twice. In 2013 Aponte sides with Philbin and hates Ireland and gets him canned and then Aponte hates Filbin literally the next year. The Mike Dee stadium fiascos. Keeping business and football in different offices.

We would be so much better off with someone like Jason Taylor in management, with that whole crew 86'd. Ross would never do it so we are screwed.
 
Brandon Marshall and the huge Bears receivers will be eating our 180 pound smurf cornerbacks alive next week so 2-4 record here we come.

Nah man Matt Higgins will be head coach, Aponte GM. Higgins will hold duel roles as head coach/official Ross Ball-Washer.

Im in favor making marty Shott our director of football operations for sure. he actually might be able to lure Cowher here since they have worked together
